I found this, lol it seems just what I'm looking for an up to date old school mmorpg with new features when's this out? I'm sick of all of these mmo's now a days they're all clones.

Unfortunately we don't know when it is coming out, it is supposed to be this year but the public hasn't started yet so maybe not.
DF has had a wild and crazy dev cycle OP.
The best info we can give you is that Beta has been going on for awhile now, and the devs have planned to have an open beta within the next month or so, with a goal to release by the end of 2008.
It is definitely going to be releasing soon, no later than early 2009 if complications arise and they cant meet their 2008 goal.
They have missed goals before with beta and release, but with the amount of media and promotion going on now it is certainly without a doubt releasing soon. They have a publisher and its now just a matter of having a smooth release.
Many of us have our fingers crossed that we may actually have a decent MMO to play again.

I would advise waiting on buying it right away when it come out, however. Unfortunately, it's has been happening lately that many MMO's are waaaay over-hyped, with people basically inventing features for games. Add to that, developers tend to over-hype their games as well, so you get an already over-hyped product with even more player hype released, only to not be anything like people made up in their imaginations. While I am hopeful for a good game, I am not really counting on it.
And, please, do not bother flaming me. All I can say is...remember DnL. And AoC. And every other "great" MMO.
Besides a few developer journals and news reports on the official forums...DF has done little to hype its game. Probably one of the least hyped mmos ever by developers at this point.
They have a very simple platorm that is the game will speak for itself and you will have the chance to try before buy. If they stick to that, then I think we will be pretty free of falling into another AoC hype scam.
Any hyping is really done by fans on forums right now.

The developers said they would try to give a trial, to let the fans try the game themselves before buying it. That remains to be seen. If they have a 3 week - 1 month trial/beta they will have to make an announcement by end of November.

You should be able to tell if the game is over hype by watching in game videos and reading the features... I was weary about AoC when it was released but I got it and tried it anyways made it to lvl 40 and quit wasnt rly to my liken the lore is terrible in that game.
Just read and watch videos of the game and it's not hard to figure out if it's a dud imo.

But why do you seem so angry at someone offering up a prediction? Maybe it's because you know I'm right and don't want to face the fact this game is a going to be a complete flop.

I have som faith in Aventurine are for quite a few reasons.
1. They havnt done some exagerated marketing campaign unlike some company's.
2. Tasos is generally on the ball and has some strong wording leaving me to believe that what atleast 90% of what he is saying is atleast true. If it isnt then his reputation will flop badly because he has said some strong worded things about the game and it would not be good if he is lying.
3. Just the sheer ammount of features that are supposed to be in game, even if they arnt all in theres alot of other features that people will enjoy in this game.
4. The company have their own engine and have been working on the game for a very long time, this leads me to believe, from what tasos has said and various information about the company and their engine, that they will be able to patch the game well (because they know how their engine works to its fullest) and also they will be able to add new content etc very often, this also leads me to believe (because they have been working on the game for a long time) that the game is features complete and has alot of content.
5. They have said you can try the game free before you buy, even if you cant then oh well. Im sure you will be able to in the future if you cant handle the humungous massive uber super mega cost.
6. I cant be bothered to dig up the quotes now but Tasos has said the game is feature complete and from what we have seen so far, the game is actually running quite smoothly.
Well at least you wont have to wait so long as i did.
And yes its a game totally different from whats been released in last few years:)

In between WoW few months AoC few months and some f2p also all very short few weeks.
