Newark cop chokes CBS cameraman

When are people who are in PUBLIC SERVANT POSITIONS, such as this, going to stop being on such a power trip? They should really sit down with each cop/guard and FORCE them to take an exam on amendment rights, if they fail, fire them.

    And I agree, that was un-called for. I don't want police to not be able to use force when necessary, but that is ridiculous.

    This is a choke hold.  What was on that video was not.  That does not mean the officer did not do wrong though.

    A cop acting like a thug. Sadly power does corrupt, and few man can stand the adverse effects of it.

    But my real question is, what the hell was with having the Black Panthers interviewed about police brutality? It's like interviewing the KKK.

    omg a black cop is brutalizing a white man! I urge white people to riot and demand a punishment more worse  then a suspension!

    Have to agree here. It almost looked like the cop was just a foot taller than the reporter and the best place for him to put his arm to "hold" him was over the guy's shoulder and across his neck/upper chest.

    Still though... the cop's behavior was completely disgusting.
