Beta client and new subscription

so if I got one of those game cards and wanted to play, already having the beta client on my computer, could I just use the card on my account, log in and patch the client to hte current version?

or would I have to buy the actual game for 50$?

 Not to be rude, but are you seriously asking this? Yes in your account options it shows what keys are applied to your account, one of which must be a game key. So yes in order to play this game you must buy it, not simply have the beta client downloaded and buy a game card.
