Finally downloaded (after a corrupted cache at 99% and a re-download [damn you FilePlanet!]) and installed. Now I'm waiting for the signup page from Blizzard.

Damn, looks like we're still under 40,000 downloads at FilePlanet. There's still a long way to go until 100,000+.

    Yikes, we might have to start creating fileplanet accounts and signing up to get those numbers up! ;)

    What is it with some of yo blaming Fileplanet for your corrupted files. Um if it was fileplanets fault I think we all would have a corrupted download. I have been a member of GameSpy ever since 1996 and ever since Fileplanet existed with downloads of Quake I have yet to get a bad download from them.

    I think you need to look at your ISP before blaming others. Or maybe even blame yourself. Which I am sure you would have to bend over backwards to EVER do that.

    Actually FP's download counter is broken and has been for atleast a day or so. For all we know, we could be at the 90,000 download mark but at the moment, we're just waiting for Fileplanet to fix itself...

    Thought it was odd that the number was so low. Hopefully the stress test will start this week. image

    I would be happy to bloody sign up but i cant as i live in Europe and i dont understand how to do that proxy thing that will allow sign up.

     Right you are. My guess is that it is actually OVER 100 000 downloads. People think "Oh, fileplanet will send me a key when they have them, so I will just download the game while i'm waiting".

     Right now what we're waiting on is the beta keys. It doesn't really matter how many downloads there are.

    I think the real stress test to this stress test is to see how stressed we get out for the stress test!

    How about an option for now stress?  Im not stressed out about this game, just waiting for it to come out, even though that has been a friggen long wait.

    well it seems from the updated counter from another post that we are at 69000... so just think more than 2/3rd toward the goal... i have a buddy signing up soon too.

    Its not like were actually stealing a place from some american person :P. o wait we are... O well lets just say YOU AMERICANS GET ALL THE BETAS FIRST... how is that fair???

    So i say i do everything i can to get into WoR :). Besides not every European can get in just those who have an ounce of Computer knowledge to use an effective proxy.

    call it a North American + Bright European Test :).

    Besides this test is only a stress test its not like its the real beta :). Then again as you said we did go and sign up for the American Test :). O wait lets see You Americans ALSO signed up for our European Test... so lets just say we are all gonna do whatever it takes to get into WoW regardless of where we live.

    So just accept it as life, i dont care if u whinge and moan cause i believe we shouldnt be discriminated against just cause we live in england or europe.

    Well, im a subscribed member of fileplanet because i wanted to do Tribes closed beta and went ahead and got the WoW stress test. Im Ready!

    My well thought out theory USA>Europe therefore we get beta first. Actually it's because of time zones but still.. Read the rules it's for USA only not Europe for some reason it is very hard for you people to understand.

    OMG tribes vengeance is sooooo much fun. I still play the original tribes from time to time too. Dont play tribes 2 cuz I lost the key =(.

    Im ready for the test to begin but Im just gonna use the time during the test to figure out what my final race/class is gonna be for open beta/retail. Not much you can really do in a week. So Im just gonna play around with diffferent classes and what not. I dont wanna explore too much cuz I wanna keep most of it for retail (will get bored to fast If I see it all). Probabaly just end up making many chars and stay in the noob areas and lvl them up to lvl 10-15 (Server uptime pending of course =P).

    My english is understandable, my ping is not unplayable (pinging NYC at 60ms), I'm mostly living by night so I'm synced with some middle US state, and my computer can run it fine I think. All in all, I don't think I'll be a burden for the stress test, as any EU nerd who got in the stress test.

    I'm not blaming blizzard but if they opened our EU beta sooner (it's been more than 1 month since the subscribtion is closed) we wouldn't even try to take some stress test slots.

    I just want to take a look at it ::::40::
