I consider myself an optimist, a realist, and a gamer. I am (almost) in disbeliefe over all the negative posts on this board.
The only time I am on these boards is when I'm at work. If I'm at home, and on the computer, I'm usually playing a game, WAR latley. Go play the game of YOUR choice.
I find it difficult to understand (maybe I just dont want to understand) how/why these "trollers" come here to trash WAR so much. I guess I'm whinning, which is Lame in and of itself, but, wouldn't it be nice if these boards were being used for legitimate discourse?! OMG, what a novel idea!
It's sad when people come here , in a sincere effort to find information, or talk about their hobby and all they get is tired, replayed propoganda. I'm not pro censorship, but if I was, I'd delete half the post on this board.
I know this won't fly, but let's try NOT to respond at all (read don't bump) to the afore mentioned posts. TY.

So if a person thinks WAR is a really low quality game and they come onto the WAR forum and describe in detail why then you're saying that everyone should just ignore it and not respond? How silly! This is a forum where people can air their views whether they are negative or positve ones.
If you have been seeing lots of negative posts about WAR then its because a lot of people think its a shit game. Many of them have spent money on the product so they have a right to trash it as much as they like and there isnt anything that you can do about it.......but certainly feel free to ignore all the negative posts and carry on playing your game. Why should it matter to you anyway? As far as your concerned you are playing a game you like. You have the right to do that of course in the same way that everyone else has the right to post whatever they want.
Oh yeah and I almost forgot.......

There is a difference between constructive critisism and mindless, endless, unproductive complaining.
For instance. If you don't plan to ever play a game again, what is the point of announcing it on that games boards? What is the point of trashing it, of possibly turning others off to it?
On the other hand, if you like a game, but think it needs to be tweaked, the boards are a good place to go to voice your opinion, or atleast they should be.

I hate people and try to make their lives as miserable as possible. Nothing is funnier to me than making some rabid fanboi spout insults at me when I bash their favorite game.

Nah, I'm just kidding, but I think that this is the mindset of most people who come trolling on these or any other forum. They just like pissing people off because it makes them laugh. It makes me laugh sometimes too, because some people defend these games like they would defend their mother if somebody called her a slut. If people quit getting all defensive about stupid shit, then other people would lose interest in trolling.
I'd love to hear what MMO you find more appealing and why. Saying a game is crap is one thing, but saying why is another. You yourself said in your post people make points to why they hate a game, yet, YOU, like so many other idiots just say stupid things like WAR IS SHIT.

I'm not a fanboi, just look at my post history. I guess my problem is there is so much crap on the boards its hard to find the nuggets of corn, get it now?
Part of the problem is that while WAR is a good game, people expected DAOC 2. Also the game could have used 6 months more in development. Many people expected a very polished game with lotsa content and got dissapointed. Also, the RvR which is the best part of the game kinda misses the spotlight while most players tend to farm scenarios.
Myself, I wasn't to happy that they didn't use more of the lore and the Warhammers RPGs system instead of something that is very close to EQ/Wow. Also I believe that the RvR would have been more intresting with 3 sides, maybe Chaos and greenskins should be splitted up, they are not really so buddy-buddy in the lore.
But theres no real reason to flame the game unless you love complaining. The game might not be the Wow killer many hoped for but it have a big potential and if Mythic don't screw up it will be around for a long time even though it playerbase probably will be around 250-500K, not the 2M many was hoping for.
I give the game 6 out of 10 in it's current state myself but it have the potential to go up to 8 or 9 if Mythic works hard with it. I sure don't hate it but Il give it 6-12 months before considering starting it again, right now I play other games.
The OP has a point. The majority of the people on these boards are here because they have no game to play (me included). So we list the reasons why each game is flawed. The people that are enjoying their game are playing their game. They aren't on this site for the most part. Granted there are some people who enjoy their game and do visit this site, but I get the feeling that a lot of people here have no game to play and use this site as their F2P MMO.

Judging from most of the posts I'm talking about, it is mostly "WOW noobs". I thought it was spelled newbs though. I played WOW for a year, loved it. Had to move on though.

So you've enlightened everyone with your expertise with why WAR isn't for you, very nice of you. You even went so far as to say Mythic developers are lazy, which is rather funny. AoC has been out for over 6 months, still hasn't fixed 50% of its flaws or implemented DX10 or the coveted PvP system. Blizzard is even more lazy cause instead of trying to balance the game for PvP, they just said screw it, both Alliance and Horde now have Paladins and Shamans.
If you think Mythic is lazy, you obviously haven't played very many mainstream MMOs lately.
I love the way you have completely dodged the entire reason for the OP making this silly thread. He asked you to ignore any negative comments from nasty evil trolls like me and yet here you are whining away in defence of WoW2. People keep saying "Dont feed the trolls" and yet you just cant resist it. Go on admit it you just LOVE coming onto these forums and defending WAR which of course is totally understandable because the RvR on these forums is so much better than anything you will ever get in WAR.
But yes I think Mythic is lazy because WAR is a watered down version of WoW. Its game design is lazy because it is such a blatant rip-off of WoW and yet it is actually even more lacking in depth. Now thats quite an achievement really, to create a game 4 years later that actually has less in it than WoW does. Oh and I'm not just talking about content because yeah yeah we know it only recently came out. I'm talking about the entire design of the game. Its just so.......bland. There is just so little choice available to the player.
But yeah other mainstream games have become pretty lazy too. WAR is currently the king of this department.
But of course thats just my opinion and there is no need for you to pay any attention to it as I'm just a nasty troll. Nothings stopping you from enjoying the game.
Oh and as for AoC well havent they fixed a lot of their stuff now? I dunno I dont play the game but I thought they just fixed their PvP system, improved their tradeskills, added more armour and weapons, added a new zone and fixed a load of bugs. I hear a lot of players reporting good things about the game actually. Of course its not the done thing to say anything good about that game is it.

So if a person plays the game and doesnt like it then they must keep their mouths shut.
But a person who plays the game and likes it is perfectly entitled to make loads of posts promoting the game and singing about how amazing it is.

So.....whats the point of a person posting a negative opinion about a game they have played and didnt like? Are you seriously asking that question? Well you answered it in the very same sentence.......to turn others off to it. In other words its to warn people about what they might be buying into. For me personally I'm not too bothered about wasting money on a bad game but for some people £30 is a lot of money. They would be rather pissed off if the forums were full of only positive praise about the game and then found out that it was actually a rather weak game. They would be asking the question "Why on earth didnt anyone warn me about how bad this is?"
So my reasons for saying what I think about WAR are the same reasons you say what you think. People will always say what they think about a game and it wont always be positive. Sorry if that bothers but welcome to real life.

Peoples who actualy complains are peoples who actualy have something to say... The day you will see no one complaining it will be the day that everything is perfect... That day is'nt arrived yet...And actualy in this case...its a game...which have a million of peoples who play it and pretty much have differents opinions from each others...Creating such games as MMO is hard to make everyone happy.
But from now.....Its something that we pay for....when you go buy a car ...dont you complain if theres anything wrong with it? seem that its pretty much the same for a game...

Its more like, get a life and move on. There are plenty other games to try and be a happy camper, not an asshole that posts everday why the hate the game so much. I can take ppl venting fairly well, but its the same ole haters on every post and they even go out and make new names on mmorpg.com. We are talking serious illness now.

Personally I believe all the troll posts are by players that actually believe they're helping the game they play by writing these posts to sway new players away from rival games.

Forums should be for the fan boys anyway, as the OP said, to discuss the game.
OK Trolls can come and say why they hate the game, but a month after release i should imagine that all the trolls have move on.

Yes that is a fair point, but once you made your post, is there any reason not then to move on?
I can only conclude that
1) You have nothing else to move on to
2) You have some problems in real life and find it hard to adjust to disappointment
3) You have so little coinage in real life that the lose of the price of the video game has ruined you( this is extreme but to be honest i can't fathom why a troll is a troll)!!
I can answer that... because www.MMORPG.com IS their MMO of choice. It's always active and it has very competitive PvP as well as decent PvE. The rest of us only play this MMO when we're at work...
