Compareing the game is simple to others also. Go to any gameing site. They have lists graphics story ect. rateing them. Wish will be no different on this. Also how will D&D differ from wish in story. Both fantasy with tolkein esq races. All derived from story line. Only thing id see different is D&D has many many more years experience in the arts of roleplaying over wish.
Ps as to pasty bastard comment. I think ive also posted where im a mechanic sorry i actually work for a living cant be to fat doing that job. Unlike fatboy highschool nerds. And before you bash on that occupation think of this. All the things you eat buy and play are shipped via truck at some point. The lack of new blood in the profesion of mechanics has driver up our pay tremendously. Why cause you pasty fat boys. Dont like working hard sweating and getting dirty.

Each time you say something, invariably it's ill informed at best. And more often than not it's just trollish in nature, but more accurately it's completely false, and not really founded on anything but loose association with some twisted half truth.
And each time someone points out how reality of the game, which has already had an open beta, is different from your hate filled uninformed rants.
You keep showing you know little to nothing of the game. From the PvP rules. From the size of the PvP area. From the rogue rules. From the Live Content. From saying it's an EQ clone. From saying it having a story is just like every other MMOG because they all have stories.

No, you tell us, what tools does D&DO have to implement a live story. Will their stories even be dynamic? Will they be consumable?

Wish has already stated how they are. And even better, a lot of people got to see the crude workings of that mechanism in their open beta back in January. So many of us have seen how they are going to do it and know first hand that it's not vaporware or feature creep.

You dont have a clue on how Wish is doing it, nor a clue on how the other games are doing it. You're just here to spout of the catch phrases you've heard about the game and try to hurt it's reputation because the devs and some mod made you cry over at VN and this is the way you're going to hurt them. Jeez, talk about a crybaby. And 2) because it cant be done because the other games arent having a live consumable interactive story the way Wish is doing it.
But I'll wait for your dissertation on the mechanics of each game, the mechanics of Wish, similarities, and differences broken down.

I believe Wish is going to do well. IMO Wish has an interesting concept, Whether they will be able pull it off is my primary concern.
The information I have read and heard about has been to my liking. I have seen the devs post to answer people's comments and concerns.
That proves nothing, but indicates to me anyway that they care about the game. This is a major plus in a game that promotes such a high RP factor, and makes me more confident that even if they don't succeed the game will be worth trying.
Wish seems like it should be the best mmorpg of all time, not just 2005...if they keep it along the path they say they are on now. As for all the people giving wish a bad hype, well they are probably the greifers and lamers and the few who enjoy grinding. I will play wish, and if it is as they say it is, I will love wish!

This has been a great topic thanks for all your replys and here's my bit short but my opinion anybody flames it then they really need a life:
Wish will be great for me if they can pull it off, i am dissapoited at the fact it's been delayed but it's just making it better.
It will rule in my world because i can be a mercanery with my comrades or a ranger who defends his neck of the woods with a pet wolf, i could go on but i think people should be getting my jist?
See that freedom and content and immersive world is what will set it apart and bring back the true meaning of a Role Playing Game!

Ok on topic. I have been doing a lot of reading on Wish. Everything that I have read from people who did the beta testing says it's good and has a lot of potential. The only negetive posts I see are from people who werent in on beta, obviously didnt read the Wish web site, and are too stuck on other games to form an unbiased, informed opinion.
I love the fact that the Devs are reading boards. That's a good sign.
No negetive posts from people that actually know what they are talking about. Another good sign.
