Do you think it would be a good idea that Darkfall would come out for the U.S in Christmas?

I really do not think it matter whatever they release it around Christmas. The poeple who are interested will play the game regardless if it is released around a holiday.

200k subs? psh failure since game x has more so clearly a fail.
omg they had a hiccup with the launch! fail because they werent 100% perfect.
they didnt get some random insignificant feature in on release? fail because they are a lying company.
Meanwhile the game will speak for itself either way and will either get great reviews or bad reviews. And the people (majority) who laugh at the vaporwarez trolls and make up their own minds will decide for themselves.
oh and you will also see plenty of "i told you so" posts from fanbois no matter what the result as well most likely.

Prolly around march april 2009.
They first launch europe and see how it develop then if your lucky it will be launched in US.
Dont get your hopes up maybe they only keep server in europe:)
Games played:AC1-Darktide'99-2000-AC2-Darktide/dawnsong2003-2005,Lineage2-2005-2006 and now Darkfall-2009.....
In between WoW few months AoC few months and some f2p also all very short few weeks.
My heart says December '08 but my head says 2009.
I can't trust anything the industry promises nowadays.

You know, I want it to come out this year, but I just can't dismiss the absence of the typical indicators for an MMORPG that it is ready to launch, so I can't believe that it will happen.
I went with sometime in 2009, I've got no clue when, but I do think it will happen sometime next year.

and its not good if it totally sucks....so whats ur point....let it come december...hell i pray it does so that they can show us all how a poorly constructed MMO is made and I can sit back and watch everyone on here and other forums complain about it because its "not what they were told it would be".
I agree with the majority of the posters. These forums won't win.
If the game is released in an unfinished state.. the Fanbois will proclaim that it is a work in progress and the trolls will proclaim that the product is unfinished.
If the game is released this year, the trolls will proclaim that it was a rushed release, and the game isn't ready, and the fanbois will rejoice and mock the trolls for being wrong (although,.. this is probably the best solution, and if you guyess enough, you'll be right eventually.)
If the game gets pushed back, the trolls will laugh and mock the fanbois, and the fanbois will say "They weren't ready to release an unfinished product like the big studios"
The only way to get the trolls to shut up, is to release this year. The following is larger than it has ever been.. And this time, right now, is when they stand to make the most money... if they delay any longer they stand to lose much more than revenue. The market is ripe (think WoW ripe)

I keep hearing people talk about a Xmas release. Why would that matter? Xmas releases are wonderful for games that are advertised and on store shelves for people to buy as Xmas gifts.
Xmas will not mean ONE single thing to Darkfall. Not one thing. The people who will play it will download it for "free" and give it a try.
I really don't understand the importance of Xmas for Darkfall?
It could be considered important if you place Darkfall in competition with other MMOs, or even with other games in general, since people will be receiving those games for Christmas, and thus will presumably have less time for Darkfall.
If Df follows through in what they say..They will blow the mmo apart.I always thought there might be a small company one day who will create a game that will topple the rest..yeah; Df could be a one hit wonder for this company; time will tell.

Since it wont be shipping to the US, as far as I know, its kind of moot. Now if it were going to be sitting on shelves before Christmas, I might see it as relative to beefing the sales a bit.

Its been my understanding that they have not found a publisher stateside. As it stands, and from what Ive read, it wont be on shelves in the US at all.
