well....so good...
quad cores are NOT for gaming, do what you want to, but anone who has compared them will tell you it will be like another 2 years before they are really useful to gaming.
ill just assume you mean 8GB of ram not 8MB...
freebies stink of over priced stuff (like video cards). they should be paying YOU to take a copy of AOC!
2 power supplies?. and why the extra optical drive?
a separate network card? i mean you couldnt just find a board that had 2?
vista home premium 64 is better than ultimate (unless you are a buisness of some sort, in which case why build a gaming rig?)
in general i think you could get alot more bang for your buck grabbing a barebone from tigerdirect and going from there.
other:that company has a kinda bad rep. cyberpower/ibuypower has been known to make shoddy product and then blame the user when things dont function.
To be honest, if you're comfortable with putting in RAM sticks (8mb ones like you spoke of above, lawl, just teasing), then you probably are comfortable with putting an entire computer together.
Just do this:
CPU: E8400 ~$160
Mobo: Gigabyte's X48 for SLI so you get dual PCI-E 16x lanes ~$180|
RAM: Any 2x2GB (4GB total) DDR2 kit because honestly DDR3 is still a waste these days for the price. ~$80
PSU: Corsair/PC Power & Cooling (Purchased by OCZ)/Silverstone/ThermalTake 1,000+ Watt power supply if you want to run 3 cards, or just pick up a really good 750-800w PSU for SLI. ~$100-150
Video Card: You said you wanted the 280, so go with that but honestly if you don't have a monitor larger than 24 inches you won't need SLI in 90% of scenarios. ~$410
Case: Antec P182, Thermaltake Armor series, Cooler Master Stacker/Cosmos/RC 690, whichever one you think looks cool. Just pick one of the cases that has free shipping or check http://www.buy.com for their case deals which are usually better than Newegg's. ~$80-200
Aftermarket HSF: Xigmatek w/ the 3 heat pipes ~$40
Optical Drives: Anything that is DVD compatible, so between $20-30
OS: Vista 64 Home Premium or go with Vista 32, whichever you prefer. If you wanted 8GB, then go with 64, but just be sure to learn what you're doing with Vista as well as 64 bit and you won't have any problems.
Overall price: $1150 if you purchased all the most expensive items, but not including shipping.
Call it a day and never look back. Tada, simple and easy. You can put this thing together within an hour and if you know someone who is experienced then it will take them around 10 minutes to wiring and hooking stuff up.
I'm too lazy to link this stuff for you, but just look on Newegg. Every time I build a computer w/ links for people on this forum, they never respond anyways so blame everyone else that's asked about computers.
xoxide has some interesting cases also. newegg does kinda bone you on case shipping i noticed. thermaltake is great for if you want a monster case, but honestly anymore i look for medium sized cases. it isnt like i will ever use 5 dvd drives.
Thanks for the input guys. Ill have to re-think about buying this system.

Post your rig up there when you complete it or post up the one that I put up for you and see what people think.
Farcry 2 and Supreme commander do take advantage of quadcore and it is growing so it's not a bad thing to have, especially if you do photo editing. Though don't forget thermal paste, I recommend tuniq tx-2 as it seems to perform better than artic silver and costs way less. I used it and it's very easy to apply. Also, if you plan on overclocking, you I imagine you would with that heatsink, you might be able to save a few buck by getting the q9450. It does have a lower multiplier but cost much much less. Also make sure to see what graphics cards your games prefer. I know AOC loves the 4870x2.
ok I ll add quad cores everyday. Many new games that are on the edge of have the BEST graphics support them.
(once you get two video card the cpu is the limiting factor, a quad is the best way to avoid/limit this).
That being said lets say you get a 8400 @ 3 gh you oc to a safe 3.7-8 (7.4-6 Gh) Ill get a q6600 or that oen you have listed and take it to a safe 3.2-3 (3.6-7 OPs cpu ) and what do you have 13-14 Gh almost double processing power that the duo has (thus even on game that support onlt 2 thread its about the same speed now you always have other proccess running on your coupter the quad will handle those with effect on your game).
I trust cyberpower rather well, but i have not ordered from them in like 6+ years so.
This being said id build my own comp. and don't worry about getting the best mebos (its alot based on your chipset that what is important)
But the computer looks nice just a tad pricey.
