Different Servers

We all know that every games have different servers. My question would be what if you happen to change different servers as you played the game? I am currently playing in the mycenae server. My friend told me before that we can't see each other if we are on the different server. Is that really true? I haven't change server once I used one. And another would be does it apply to all games? Thanks in advance!

Yes you have to be on the same server to play together.  Thats the same for all games.

Get your friend to move to your server or move over to his server to play together.

aside from not seeing other players on different servers, you cannot also use the same character on different servers. whenever you transfer to another server, you'd have to make a character and start from scratch again. so you and your friend have to decide who's goin to compromise.
