Looking for A Mentor!

Greetings, I've used to play the game back when it was caleed Project Entropia but I was just a newbie Sweating the easy mobs, now I want to put some money(not now but in an imediate future) in the game and I need a Mentor. There is anyone out there?

You might include what time zone you're in, when you're likely to play, and the language you're most fluent in.

The reason being, EU has a far reaching player base.  The first person that steps up to volunteer to mentor you may not be on when you play most due to work or somply being on the other side of the globe.

 

Here's an excerpt of something I wrote over on entropiaforum regarding mentor selection. Hope it helps!

 

DO NOT accept a mentor the first time you see them in game.

Find out when the prospective mentor is usually online. A constantly absent mentor or a mentor that's not on when the disciple is isn't likely to be a good thing for the disciple.

Spend a few of your online sessions with a prospective mentor to make sure your play styles are complimentary. Perhaps a brief sweat, hunt, or TP discovery run?

Get at least one way to contact the prospective mentor outside of game. Ideally an email addres or IM name. This allows a mentor to answer a question if realtime in-game presence is not practical at the moment. Make sure the mentor has some contact info for you as well.

If all goes well to this point, the newcomer has probably found a winning mentor.

Why all this trouble? Why so many hoops? Because as a mentor, you are responsible for grooming this noob into a seasoned veteran. Someone willing to put the time and effort into the game deserves no less.

This vetting prcess also works the other direction. A person that will be a dedicated disciple will show up and be willing to take time in-game. By waiting a few sessions before taking the disicple into tutelage, the mentor increases the odds of bringing a noob from infancy to Calypsan adulthood.

Agreed, Jake,. While morpg.com does cover practically all games, they playerbase that visits here from Entropia is a little scarce. There are indeed better places to look for a mentor, and the site you mention is a decent place to look.

That being said, I am seeing more of the experienced players visiting here. That's not a bad thing.
