I can see the logic in wanting fresh ideas on the table that you might only be able to get from people not so set in their ways. My question is, do you think implementation of large patches or updates will be really rocky and tedious because of the same lack of experience?
8 Years of development on darkfall, and (3d) games have been around just a little longer than that in the fist place... A doctorates degree is 6-8 years of college, so in a sense if this where school, theyd all have doctorates in making darkfall. I think there pretty damn experienced by now, because if 8 years doesnt teach you ANYTHING, you are not a human.
I can see the logic behind this, however one thing they dont have any experience with is having all their players logged in, and trying to keep everything running smoothly at the same time. I think this might be problematic especially if they were to introduce a large patch, and suddenly found themselves dealing with bugs and other issues with the small team they have.

For sure that will test time bigtime. I think this is why they have professional server hosting teams deticated to managing the servers for them so they have some of the strain off the small team. The rest will probably be to exanding and content development, but who knows, In alot of ways this is like the recent presidential election, Now that its about to happen, the real test is ahead.
HOW do you become a novice memeber with 1300+post's?
Ive been banned for retaliating against peronal attacks from a small but overzealous portion of the Darkfall fans.
Now rather than get banned myself, I simply report them, let them get banned, and never respond directly to their insults. Seems to be working out better for me.
