You should be looking at "Earthrise". Release in 2009, and will have full loot upon death :)

But in AC.. you didn't lose xp.. I had to point that out..

There isn't a current game that actually punishes  you with hours of gameplay loss.  I liked Asheron's Call because dying did mean something.. but it didn't mean you wasted the last 4 hours (or in the cse of eve the last 3 months) to die to a random disconnect

Eve is Fi, thats  sound realy bad to me.

For a medieval/fantastic MMO you must to wait for Darkfall. Or... Runescape in PVP servers: all items loss in death with looting (risk without gain is bad right?)

Runescape graphic are so bad, many kids play it, but ho well its fun for PVP...

-A LOT of people (200.000 at same times)

    - So Fun to hunt A LOT OF  scared people

    - Large fight without lag (easy 500Vs500)

-No safe zone, excepted the bank.

    - Zoneless

    -Sandbox mmo

    - Free and no DL.

Of course Runescape is so bad for PVE, but ho well its fun'n'Hardcore for PVP. Aslo its skills-based, class-free like UO.
