I get it now...

I now understand how utterly annoying the market imbalance in the game is... I've remembering reading a post about it, how annoyed the poster about the market imbalance and all... I remember being a bit indifferent about it, even replying that it was really like that, blah blah.. But now, my opinion has changed. Seriously, why sell stuff unreasonably low? *sigh* There was an instance when I've actually bought an item then immediately registered it for a higher price (without even using it). So, when I feel up to it, and if I happen to have a lot of cash with me, I buy everything in the market the is unreasonably sold at a low price then register it all again at a reasonably lower value than the fixed price. Am I bad?

grats on coming to terms with the fact that you post things without knowing what you are talking about. if only more people would be that objective someone might actually learn something useful here now and then.

The market in this game is strange. I find it very odd how people post items for sale above the fixed market price. Why would anyone buy your item?

I also find it odd how people post items below 10 gold. Because you can just open the Hospital window and sell it for 10 gold there. You are losing money to sell below 10 gold.

Yeah, I admit I sometimes don't think about what I post and do a spur-of-the-moment comment. Since I've started seriously crafting, I've realized how hard it is to make an item then when you decide to make money out of it, you'll realize that you'll have a hard time competing with the prices in the market since the supposedly 'valuable' items are sold at a very low price. I understand that some people would want to get rid of some items that were cluttering their inventory box but, as the previous post said, you could sell immediately those at the hospital for 10 gold each. Anyway, I don't know... Just take this a rant post or something...

If people are selling valuable items in a game for a low price... that is a good thing.  There is no point in making items so expensive that someone has to bust their ass in order to get it.. especially in AO since from what I understand you have to gear up more then one character.

Buying items that are at a low price and then reselling them for a high price has always been a lame thing to do in any game because all you're doing is making it harder for legit people to get things and easier for gold buyers to be geared in the best available.

I suppose doing this would be good if you actually needed gold because then you'd be making a small profit if the item you just put up again sold.. but you've just mentioned that valuble items are put up for low prices so you DONT need the extra gold.

In short I feel what you're doing is selfish/greedy unless your goal in the game is to hit the gold max... and if people are really selling good items for low prices in this game.. your auction house is a dream come true for many.

Yeah, buying then re-selling items in the market is indeed awfully selfish of me. But, I have to disagree with the part on selling valuable items for a low price as a good thing. I mean, since a player put a lot of effort into creating/crafting the item, I think it's only fair that you get at least get something of equal value out of it. I'm not saying that one should sell it at a very high price to the point of extortion but at just a reasonably high price. One should at least take into consideration the fixed price given in the game for a particular item, if a fixed price is given. For example, Spirit spears are sold for 900 gold each at the fixed price then suddenly a person would sell his/her spear for only 100 gold. Why the drastic drop from the fixed price? If you want to have a competitive price in the market, bringing your item down by 50 or 100 would've suffice.

I'm guilty of this.  I buy items then sell them on the market from my guild town. That way I don't have to pay a fee hehe

lucky! if you really need an item was valuable for your char most of that items are expensive but most of has no idea at all for example selling a plus one spirits boots to 2000 hey! you must sell it in lower fixed price otherwise that item will be stuck there forever because no one will buy that and no one will use it so what is the use selling it in an expensive price. but its good players can be considerete selling lower fixed price me just sell it in a lower fixed price or add a 100 for your profit.
