Hi,
I am finding it hard to find a new game to play and I am looking to get into a MMO that will keep me gripped for the at least a year. Im looking for a f2p or p2p MMO that has the following:
- Has a lot of quests and the game is not much of a grind
- Has a good lore which keeps you gripped to the quests and that they don't seam to much of the same thing.
- Has newish graphics and they are not to cartoony (like WoW)
- Has solo aspects but also some group based aspects as well so i have a choice.
- To have some PVP but is not essential.
- Aimed at more casual play as I mainly only have the weekends and a few evenings to play.
- That the servers are well populated so if I need to group there will be a high chance of finding someone.
- I would prefer Fantasy game but I am willing to give SciFi a try
I look forward to hearing everyone's suggestions!

give vanguard a try. lots of content with some of the best graphics for an mmo. I think it fits what you are looking for
That really does sound like Vanguard. The population is sparce though, and there are a few buggy quests, but fun.
I suggest starting with a solo friendly character, it'll give you an easier feel right from the start. At leas ttill you get a feel for the population.
The purest love comes from the heart. The best love comes from the... Which will you choose?
Do you have the official site link for that?
I'm having a hard time finding it.
If you don't mind waiting for a little while, you could try Aion when it comes out.
Guild Wars is always good for those who like Storyline Quests, as the storyline is pretty good and well thought out throughout the series.
Seems like atlantica to me
Hi,
I would suggest either EQ2 or Vanguard, both are solo freindly and you should have no problem finding help when needed. Both games have a great community with a decent population.
You can give them a try at the following links:
EQ2

Vanguard

Both have a 14 day trial.
Good luck in finding a game you like.
Take the Magic: The Gathering 'What Color Are You?' Quiz.
Sounds like you are looking for Lord of the rings online, since that is exactly what you described
If WoW = The Beatles
and WAR = Led Zeppelin
Then LotrO = Pink Floyd
Thanks for all your replys!
I am going to download the trial for both Vanguard and lotro and see which one i prefer!
Glad we have helped.
I am still wondering why Vanguard doesn't have a free trial. The game seems completely dead to me. The forums are a Ghost town.
Who is online

Vanguard do have a Trial now, I played it a couple of weeks ago
and to OP: If you are in US you cant get Trial for LotrO now since its been disabled untill the expansion (November 18) but the EU trial is still active.
If WoW = The Beatles
and WAR = Led Zeppelin
Then LotrO = Pink Floyd
I have to agree here
I gave it an 8/10 personally, and it's one of the best free to play MMO's I've played in a while.
It has some draw backs like losing EXP when you die (although you never lose levels), limited customization of UI and your character's appearance, quests are a little bland, and not the most polished graphics (but all around good looking).
But the pros definitely outweigh the cons IMO. It's also turn based, but very fast paced and fun.

Playing:
FFXIV, TERA, LoL, and HoTS
My Rig:
GPU: GeForce GTX 770, CPU: i7-4790K, Memory: 16 GB RAM
There is a Free Trial now, and I've noticed (on my server at least) that the population is gradually starting to increase.
Ok sorry dude, but mostly everything you listed there is WoW. And the cartoon graphics..well arent cartoony. Have you seen the bosses at higher level's and pve tier armor and pvp season gear? come on. Amazing graphics. Lighting is awesome. Well thats because of my pc the graphics are good. But most of your mmo req's you stated sound like what you need is WoW.
OP if you are willing to wait a couple of weeks TCoS seems to tick most of your boxes but it would depend if you liked the combat system, maybe another option for you.
If someone had came up to me in 1980 when I was on my Atari 2600 and said we will be playing games with thousands of people at the same time.I guess my response would have been,"but I only have 2 joysticks"

Is there really such a game? Let me know if you find that.
If your going to try anything I'd have to say WoW, WAR or EQ2. Can't go wrong with any of those.
