How is a name change in order?

Monumental is a European company so they have used the name we use here, Football not Soccer.

What you Americans call football over here we call it rugby but its man's sport over here we don't use no padding like you guys do, and why do you even call it football anyway? the ball is in somebodys hands for most of the game bit of a misleading name don't you think you should have called it padded up handball.

    That is all.

Sorry, but just cause one country, steals names from other sports for their leasure, doesnt mean that the rest of the world have to change the name of their sports to fit the delusions of that one country.

As imaginative and creative as I am I see the immediate followup success to this MMO, that wil fit the current WoW crowd better: Fotball Hooligans Online

Why does it have to be an mmo? why not just another sports game with online multiplayer capability? And how will this be any different. Personally i find most sports really boring but thats just my opinion.I am glad theyre trying new things though, some creativity in the setting of mmos is good. I just dont see how this will work. It would be the same as making a racing sim online but  can see that working better than this honestly and it even sounds more fun.

I have just got into the beta testing and have to say the gameplay is pretty addictive. They have a good system in place that actually requires some skill to master. While stats do have their part to play it doesnt seem to be totally unbalancing. Level 1 players can still mix it up with level 20 players and do well. This is unlike most other grindfest MMORPG's that exist today where Level > Skill.

Sports are best played in real life, that is what I firmly believe (however, if you are disabled, then that is a different story).
There are reasons why I don't ever buy sports game for any console, even though I completely wipe the floor with my friends when we do play one.  Winning in sports game brings me no joy btw, however, beating someone who bought the game does. LOL
Just thinking about a sports MMORPG have made my day.

You are correct, sports are best played in real life.Avid soccer fans may love there soccer, but do you think they would waste there pint/ale money on a video game?not i.I know and work with some REAL avid footballers and i know for a fact, they have zero interest in video games.

Like i said good luck, this game will be a tough sell,i mean we already have FIFA and EA has always been a leader in sports video games,so this will be a tough sell for sure.

Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.
