Support character

I want to play a support character in WAR. I enjoy the ones that know well the other group skills and is responsible helping my group kill, and the other group not.

Things like stopping healers from healing, breaking the fow spike, slowing their offense, and stopping their casters from casting. Interrupts critical skills and basicly chaning the way the fight goes.

Which character should I play in WAR and what are his abilities for such tasks ?

if u are playing order, i suggest shadow warrior, SW is good at support, they have a skill that reduced healing by 50% on a target for 10 second, and it have 0 cooldown, but the target need to be ailment, and the ailment skill's cooldown is around 3 second, so u can debuff 2 players at the same time, since when in group fight, lots of people like to target tank, and tank is very hard to be killed if there are some healers at the back, so the debuff skill are usually very usefull.

but this class is very very weak in 1v1, and their damage is not as good as a normal dps class, and they have the defence like tissue paper, unless u go for full toughness spec, getting all items with toughness, going skirmish spec, and putting all renown points on toughness, then it will make u harder to be kiledl, because the range of the debuff skill is 65 feet, so u always need to be in the front line, defence is important. and they are increasing the damage output of SW in the new patch, so this class is playable, but only if you really like to play a support class.

Im not entirely sure but I think engineer might fit that role if you're planning on rolling order. I have one at rank 15 and I know they get alot of debuffs and other tools to make the opponments life a misery, especially in the tinker tree.

Only problem is they are a little weak 1v1 so you might want to roll with a group.

From my time playing, I would suggest Magus. They have the best ability ( that 'suck-in" move) that pulls other players into some kinda rift or something. I only saw it a few times before I left, but it was definitely killer. Also, they had by far the best looking gears. I hated fighting Magus as a Order guy. Plus they get that cool looking disc to float on right at level 1.  :)

Magus sounds like what you want to be. Roll that one at least to 15ish and check it out, youll probably stay with it.

I see 3 seperate answers and not one of them are telling you BS about how good or bad the game is.

Not to mention, you didnt say what side you're playing on.

My vote goes to the Marauder.

Here's a clue for you, and a differentiator between someone who will enjoy RvR verses someone who will go back running and screeming to WoW arena: EVERY class in WAR is a support class. Play any class with the objective you described and you will be a valuable player. A tank class in particular might be good for you: and Ironbreaker for Order or Black Orc for Destruction are very effective in the hands of skilled players.
