What is flooring me about this is how people somehow didn't see this coming.
Blizz is the master of train wrecks when it comes to content releases. The initial launch sucked, TBC sucked (not as bad), most of the big patchs sucked and shockingly enough, WOLTK launch is going to suck. They will make some statement about how they underestimated the popularity of the xpac, as the servers go down in a hail of queues and lag, thanking us for our patience the whole while.
I play WoW, I don't like that this is the way it is, but its reality. For a company once famous for not releasing things until they are ready, blah, blah...they are not capable of releasing things in any form of workable state. Rent a movie, read a book because my money is on the servers not being playable until sometime sunday. In a week they will most likely be all sorted out and we can get back to griping about pvp inbalance and how OPed Class X is in comaparison to mage/rogue/small child who though he rolled "OMFGPWNZORIWIN" as a class.
If people can't handle that, you need to stop playing.
Thanks for all the personal attacks with me posting about the WoW server. Sorry I'm am not as adept as you professional gamers as I am a mere noob in your eyes when it comes to WoW.
As I stated in my first post and through reading the WoW forums I was stating my observations through a trial subscription plagued with nothing but issues and offline servers due to the zombie infestation. Now that I am on my paid time a server maint scheduled for AM is now in the PM EST with no end in sight.
Simply my observations from 17 days of WoW.
Well that explains it then. You know how you just can't force yourself to look away when there's an auto accident? Well a train wreck must have 10 times the draw. We are all just sitting here waiting to see if we can see someone's severed head roll down the hill...no wonder they'll sell 5 million copies overight. LOL
Oh no, Im paying for two accounts at 15 bucks a month and I cant play. I want my dollar back for the downtime today!
Seriously, you didnt expect this? With the xpack coming tomorrow night, I figure I be lucky to have WoW playable by Friday night.
You know....we probably all HAVE been a bit harsh on you. But the reason for that was the extreme nature of your original post. It's pretty hard for you to have an overall accurate picture of Blizzard's professionalism or WoW, as a game, at this point in time. I realize that's not your fault. But I think people just want YOU to realize, that if you make a blanket judgment from just what you've experienced in recent days.....when it comes to the overall picture, that is going to end up being an inaccurate assessment, that's all.
We're all pretty frustrated too, I'm sure, with not being able to play after work and all, but.....sometimes in the improvement process of a game....there are inconvieniences to the users. Incidentally, we all had refunded days on our account maintenance pages FROM those inconvieniences and Blizzard has always been faithful to DO that. NOT MANY OTHER COMPANIES do so. Just an FYI there.
Personally, I apologize for being so snappy. I can see whereas someone new to the game, after the last couple weeks we've had....would think things were falling apart. LOL But really....they all fall back in to place, and then the game runs amazingly smooth for the next 11 mths. That IS pretty much how it goes.

Your stories don't add up, why did you buy two accounts?
The zombie invasion has only h appened once before in the history of WoW, and this time it lasted only 5 days. For a game thats been up for years 5 days is a short time. If you had bothered to read the maintenance note you'd notice it said there is an unforseen problem with the internal game mail system that unexpectedly occured.
So how are they suposed to tell you when something that they didn't even know was broken is going to be fixed?
I mean really, I think your being unrealistic and unfair to Bliz about your complaints, and if your expecting to hear people on this forum cry with you, your obviously new here.
You'd probably have had much nicer responses if you yourself had taken into account that you have only 17 days of experience and thus a very narrow timespan in the life of an MMOG to base your claims about lack of professionalism on. While these forums are well known for trashing people over nothing, the tone you started out with is pretty much inviting the treatment. ;-)

shut the fuck up, you pay for two accounts, me and my bro have 7 total and you dont see us bitching, you'll get to level your level 12's soon enough, till then Blizz is fixing a problem the day it is found like they've always done, go fail elsewhere, show me a game that didnt have a major maintenance before an expac and ill show you a terribad game.
YES....unlike so MANY other games, when Blizzard finds a problem....they FIX IT. It's pretty hard, in the long run, to fault them for that.

Umm... if everyone just looked at his account creation time. It was created last year on the 12th. Today being the 11th i fail to see how he created it just for wow bashing today. It reads 11/12/07. If its a fluke my bad but way to be observant.
Damn you blizzard! I want my 50 cents back! I could go play WAR but this is much funner to type here while I wait for WoW to come back up. Hard to believe isnt it

I cant wait to play WOTLK probably Saturday if they ever fix all the bugs. WOTLK hasnt been launch yet and they are getting major problems each tuesday for last few weeks. I dont expect WOTLK to be smooth, guess the game would be down most of the day like today.

But it does not seem odd that he refrained from posting for an entire year until today?
He did it again haha hes good - I know this fella he is a RL friend of mine, works as a clown in our mall. Got to love his sense of humour...god damn hes good - Ill give him a quarter next time!
Also the original poster troll. They will most likely refund us for today as it has been down all day. Blizzard does this when there servers are down like this and will add days to the account to compensate for the inconvenience so they do not just steal a day normally we do get it back. Also with such a huge xpac tomorrow night the servers have to be ready and stable.
