I used to play and I was in the beta but I didnt play the beta too much. But as the Expansion closes in how are the populations? Are they rising again?
Lotro has had a pretty even population, at least on my server, for a while now. If you look at it's XFire number you will see 6 - 7 K hours for weekdays with weekends getting 10 - 12 k hours. Back to the real world I play on Silverlode which is not considered a high pop server and last night there were about 75 to 100 people just in Bree town area at any given time and I saw several full 6 man groups out in the Lone lands around the Forgotten Inn which is a lvl 14 - 18ish area. My kinship has had probably half a dozen old members resub in the last few weeks and a lot of people are leveling alts at the moment.
Honestly I"ve never noticed a population issue with the game -- I play on Landroval though which is one of the bigger 3 servors. My kin aquired a transfer from Firefoot who moved over due to poor population theres so I think there are 2 or 3 servors that have suffered. Not sure if there has really been an improvement recently -- the only surge in populations I"ve noticed is when I'm queued to log in during extra exp weekends.
never been population issues on snowborne either tbh, ofc theres gunna be more players joining for moria, and more than likely some people coming back, and its going to be even better once moria is out !!
Never really got a lotr vibe honestly in this game. Maybe cos I only got to lvl 18. I forget wich server I was playing on but I never saw a lot of fellow gamers
I'm on EU servers and I can tell that Eldar and Laurelin (neither of the two are the most populated) have very healthy population with no problems for fellowship Q. And I'd say nowdays when we're getting close to MoM none of all servers will be empty
But yes, population in general is rising, atleast on these two servers. Lots of new people joining and lots of old resubbing This is really probably one of the best moments to join again

I fear we'll get server ques during primetime this week, all the people from my kin that tried aoc/war are coming back. All the hardcore player that beat the game early will come back and give a go at mom.

Why did you bother posting this. I think the OP would rather hear from people who actually PLAY LoTRO, I certainly don't mean to be a troll but there are hundreds of other threads where an "opinion" like this would be more appropriate.
BTW I don't play LoTRO either, but if the expansion delivers on what it's promising I will be soon.

Failing MMO's don't release expansions.

The population on my server has gone through the roof the week before moria release. I hope it stays that way.
