Wow, why do you hate small companies so badly? Small companies made up of gamers like you and I, who are making games FOR gamers and not for the sole purpose of profit, devs who miss the oldschool style of MMORPGs like UO and Shadowbane, who are sick of path the mainstream games are going. Besides a little faith and patience, Tasos has not asked us gamers for anything else, not a penny. Yet you treat him with contempt and hostility at every turn.
Do you worship Microsoft, and shun Linux for making a bullshit OS with no GUI and a horrible learning curve? Do you worship McDonalds but spit towards the mom and pop diners that try their best to cater towards the customer's needs and tastes?
I could really care less if this game gets released or not as it's really not my cup of tea. I just find these forums highly entertaining.
But I must say some of the DF fanatics have to be some of the most juvenile, uneducated, delusional, emotionally challenged group of numbnuts I've seen in quite some time on any forum.

yeh would take these with a grain of salt. but given the fact less then 6 months ago it was in question if this game was vaporware or not and they proved that wrong i would not think these are false.

Yes, it seems people have some great blanket statements to make about a game that was wiped everyday, and that they barely got to see.
And somehow they all sound like they are coming from the same person...
Played (more than a month): SWG, Second Life, Tabula Rasa, Lineage 2, Everquest 2, EvE, MxO, Ryzom.
Tried: WoW, Shadowbane, Anarchy Online, Everquest, WWII Online, Planetside
Beta: Lotro, Tabula Rasa, WAR.

It has everything to do with it. You get a list of unsubstantiated quotes from who knows where, and thats all the proof you need?
People say theyve seen Elvis, is that proof hes still alive?
I was also struck by the similarity in style of all the Tasos-quoted "feedback." And I notice that he says they aren't edited for grammar or spelling, but there are VERY few errors - far fewer than I notice in a normal game forum sampling.
Anyway, the bottom line for me is this: it's all still just words being posted by Tasos.
Even if you give total benefit of the doubt that the quotes are from actual non-company people, you still don't know what comments were filtered out. You still don't know how many people are testing. And there is still no confirmation or leaking anywhere of anyone actually being in this thing at all. No beta EVER stays leak-proof. Ever.
So, I remain extremely skeptical about the game in general - despite my hopes for it due to hardcore features, FPS style, etc. And I remain 100% convinced that there is no way they can release anything remotely close to ready by the end of 2008.
Even the Tasos-filtered posts, if real, sound like alpha testing. A lot of us have been pointing out that Darkfall IS in alpha, no matter what they try to call it. When you're talking about an MMO, letting in the first few dribbles of outsiders is a mid-to-late alpha phase.

Since when does everyone speaks perfectly english? No really? I couldn't find any mistakes in the comments. Besides that, its a perfect smokescreen for letting not more people into beta, I mean, 11 pages, and not about the beta, but about some shady, not back uped opinions.
