I played wow once, a long time ago, sure there was some things that annoyed me, and yes i was bored sometimes, what i've come to realize is, its like that in every other MMO, theres no perfect MMO out there, yet. and untill then, i will get a new key and start in WoW again. I rolled a UD rogue on Ravencrest, and its so much fun, idc if people say it isnt challenging, and its gear based, so what? I just played WAR and i've never been so bored in a MMO... and even though i LOVE PvP, i also like the 1v1, and 2v2 etc. in WAR its mostly 12v12 (scens) 24 v 24+ (O rvr) and i was playing melee... sigh.. WoW might not be the hardest MMO out there, but atleast i have fun. and untill something better comes out, ill stick with it.
war has better PVP, you must not lke PvP as much as you claim. you want 1v1 2v2 try the open rvr server in war. you will have many confrontations

Arena is the hardest PvP there is. Most people hate arena because it is too hardcore.
Secondly. PvP is not RvR. War had some great ideas about strategic RvR, but the PvP in WotLK is a breath of fresh air. I agree you need to be on the end game to experience it (lvl 70+), but PvP now is complete.
You have the arena for the hardcore), you have the classic BG's, but the new BG is very good. "Strand" lets you invade a beach and a keep with tank vehicles and Siege artillery. It's pure tactical adrenaline.
Lake Wintergrasp is just awesome. I just had my second night fight in it and I lost two times but this is a PvP dream. I have had hours of insane fun. Perhaps it is because it's new and the novelty could wear off, but for me this is "it". It's the old AV but more.
The RvR strategic layer isn't in Wow yet. Up to the next expansion to put something over the PvP tactical fights. But I am glad the PvP now is up there in WotLK.

indeed, WAR's PvP is better in some ways, or atleast it will be in time, but for now, abilities and morales that doesnt react, exactly when you click on them, abilities that worked on INT even though i was a Chosen (Melee tank)... that just turned me off.
And i know all about open rvr, i played a lvl 40 chosen in Open rvr server, Eltharion, its one of the highest populated servers. anyways, when you go out to a RvR lake, its most usually very empty, or full of warbands, you dont run into 1 or 2 very often. WAR is more like 12v12 or 24v24 + as i said in my original post. which is great fun, if your a caster.. this is just my opinion.
WoW is not the hardest game to play, but i love the arena, gives me that adrenalin rush, when i enter... it's now or never, win or die YEEEAAH!! - Feeling...
I'm coming back as well. I left waiting for the WotLK and now that it's back, i'm in for the sailing. ^-^ I also agree with your belief, there is no perfect MMO. All there is is the certain attachment you have with it. The fun and the memories you built playing it.

Yeah, i loved standing next to my opponent hacking away at each other for twenty minutes and whoever could outheal the other wins... good times. Oh and the delay between activating an ability and the ability actually doing its thing totally added a dimension of uncertainty, ie "Is my stun going to occur before, during, or after he heals?"
/sarcasm
WoW's RvR needs work... the game in general needs polishing... although I did enjoy the scenarios, most people were complaining that they were just regurgitated WoW battlegrounds.
