Well after much trying I finally managed to get an account to work on the Acclaim Page,but the pages never loaded up properly and it took an age for to get registered.

I also was unable to get any download links for the game so I managed to find the client from elsewhere.

Installed the patcher which if I'm honest is a bit of joke, it has been updating for the last 20 hours but the major problem is it will just stop and exit.

This means I have to keep coming back to it, to make sure it is still loading, not only that it is slow to downoad. Then it will get errors whilst downloading and just hang.

My client is still reporting 0.8 and with the Open Beta due to close shortly there is no way I'm going to make it in time. My total game size on the HD is 8.75 gig.

Thought it would be ok downloading overnight but it never happened.

Added to the fact UK players have to play on US Servers! (which total retard thought that one up)

 

Can only imagine the transcript went like the below.

Idiot 1"Lets do something different with the UK"

Idiot 2 "What do you mean?"

Idiot 1 "Lets put the Brits in with USA, after all they speak the same language and I can't imagine any of the other Europeans speak or even understand English. It's only a 5 hour difference East Coast and they will be ok with the 8 hours differnce on the West Coast too,

Idiots 2 "what about the lag?"

Idiots 1 "I'm sure they'll get used to the lag in time."

Idiots 2 "works for me"

 

Yeah good idea lads !!! I had high hopes for this but in my eyes it's failed already

    Did you look which country's have OB? Or is this another troll topic about the stupid stuff the devs are doing.

    Troll or not but forcing the UK players to play on american servers is nothing short of incredibly stupid. In fact all this dividing of markets for the same game is stupid. Just because i happen to live in Sweden I might still have friends  I want to play with in the UK or "gasp" even in NA!
