I find it revolting that a community of gamers that constantly bitch repeatedly about this or that game not releasing with the promised content or releasing like it was still in beta...is here bitching that a game is taking to long to release. I mean seriously...wtf do you people want? First the game releases to quick and you want to burn the developers at teh stake and say it's their fault. How about this, how about you stfu and just let the developers do what they do. If the game comes out YAY! If not then oh well, your life continues on. It's a forum about DarkFall and it's development team. Yeah, it would probably make the mods job a lot easier if we all made " I DarkFall" posts. However, I got a feeling there would be A LOT LESS people visiting these forums if that were the case.
So, even though we might not always agree with the opinion of each other's posts... as long as they don't break the rules... they are what makes this forum what it is. Obviously if something bothers a person that much about another's post (which is not breaking any rules) then there is always the option of ignoring it.

I honestly wouldn't complain about Adventurine if they would give updates more regularly, and not stand on the suspicious side of things. If their company operated with glass windows, allowing the consumers to be a part of the creation process, I would be eating this game wholly.
Instead we're all left in the dark and spoon fed that this game's going to be the greatest damned thing next to macaroni and cheese....Personally I think macaroni and cheese is fattening, and this "business plan" screams fraud.

To me though what the rest of the industry does as a standard is more of a scam. Until Aventurine asks me for money before I have tried the game I just can't see it as a scam. I mean if it turns out to be a joke by some twisted individual I would laugh my arse off because it hasn't cost me a penny. If it costs me 50-60$ + just to find out the game isn't finished as promised, lacks the content I was told it had, has so many bugs I can't play half the time then yeah that would be a scam. Reality check: According to Aventurine, the beta just opened to the common populace. The prior months of beta testing were internal.
Aventurine seems to be doing everything internal for the most part. There are no leaks and no one knows anyone in beta, but it's possible they only invited a hundred people for all we know. A majority of people will actually comply with an NDA because it is a legally binding contract, most with severe reprecussions is violated. Other games have leaks because of large numbers, perhaps DF just doesn't have this.
As with all my DF related posts, none of us know what is really going on or what will happen, but I hope it does turn out great. I have no problem with pessimism, but I tire of the misleading facts and misnomers designed with only the intention of inciting the masses.
I guess we'll see if there's anything new on the homepage when it comes back up.
