Questions about Parties?

I really havent read to much about this game but I thought the turn based idea was interesting. Can you group up with Player Characters and go adventuring or do you do all your grouping with NPCs?

I don't think it would be considered an MMO if you couldn't group with other people  (maybe there are some)

But yes you can group with other players, and you even get more EXP and items with them

you can hire a wandering mercenary.

you can party with other players which gives more experience than solo.

you can also party with monsters using the bewitching scroll.

    PARTY!

its fun too! you can ask some players what are their strategy on every specific battle coolest moves, infact you can socialize other players and make some friends, well its kinda boring when you hire mercs.

parties make questing a lot easier. its like having some friends that will surely back you up when you get into a brawl. and like  real-life friends, sometimes they will also stab you at the back.

That's correct. When you're in a party, all the exp gets put into a pool and distributed after each turn based on level.

Has anyone here been to a solo dungeon? I've heard there's a dungeon where party system is not available.. if in that case, it will be so difficult to finish that quest, even scroll of bewitching has no effect..

i think you'll gonna need lots of scroll of judgement in this field

As far as I know, the only places that you cannot party in are the bosses instances that are meant for solo players. In this case, it is just 1 group of mobs, including the boss. If you've fought the Hellish Fairy (first instanced boss fight), all solo fights are similar to that. If a party member tries to enter they will just be taken to thier own instance. There are party instance boss fights with monk quest being the first. Where you can have 2 others join you in the instance.

One of the best things about this game is that it greatly encourages people to party. In a 3 person party you will recieve double experience and +1 to loot drops (meaning 1 extra of any loot, except quest items). Another good advantage is that the experience pool that is gained while fighting in a party is split somewhat evenly among all your group, allowing easy leveling for new low level mercenaries to level fast. In North America, 1 fight will get a level 1 mercenary to level 6

Due to this, you should always party with your fellow atlanteans. Even if you are not close together (LDP, Long Distace Party) you will still recieve bonus experience after each battle you or one of your LDP members finishes. You also recieve an experience book that can be used for 10% will cost that will increase your experience on the character in your own group of your choice (just move the books to the one you want to use it on and right-click). You recieve 1 book for 100 experience for every 100 bonus experience points gained after a fight. Another bonus to partying is that you can fight higher level mobs, which gives even more bonus experience than you could get while soloing. I usually run with 2 of my friends from my guild, and fight mobs 5-10 levels higher than us. A mob 10 levels higher than you will give you approximately 50% more experience than a mob of your level

I hope this answered any questions anyone has about partying. Enjoy your time ingame, and like the Eddie Murphy song says...PARTY ALL THE TIME!
