I know it may be annoying hearing from WoW players, but i'm getting tired of world of warcraft and was wondering how this game was. I've heard good and bad things about the game, I just want to hear from all you guys. What are the good things about this game and the bad things? Does the game hook you fast or you need to get a pretty high level to start enjoying yourself? Sorry for the longish post. Thanks in advance

You'll have to try the game for yourself. Well, seeing as your only likely to get people's opinions on the game, I'll post my own.
The good and bad stuff you can find very easily on any forum and in great details.
Personally, I don't think the game hooked me at all. In fact if you want the game to hook you the way WoW did, forget it. This isn't necessarily a bad thing however, and I prefer to play a game casually and have fun rather than being addicted to mindless farming and grinding for loot.
You can start enjoying yourself and do pretty much everything from rank1(except keeps and dungeons).
The most important thing however is to choose your server wisely. To have fun in this game you HAVE to play on a populated server.
Good things:
- Huge amount of diverse classes.
- Very group-oriented and lots of content for this.
- Large variety of methods for gaining experience (world PvP, instanced PvP, public quests, solo quests, dungeons), all of which except dungeons are available from level 1.
- Lots of improvements and reduction of useless crap in the basic questing system.
Bad things:
- Still bugs here and there of varying nature and severity in need of tweaking, but less than most MMO releases in this aspect, and Mythic seems rather quick at fixing these.
- Some scenarios (kinda like battlegrounds, although there's a crapload of them rather than just a handful) are crap and need tweaking.
- Small amount of crafting professions.
Definetly make sure you play on a populated server.
Shameless plug: Roll order on Badlands and/or destruction on Sylvania.
The biggest hook to this game, for me, is meaningful PVP as a rate of advancement. I've got some characters that I've done every single PVE quest I can find on, and I've got some characters that haven't touched more than 6 PVE quests and have leveled exclusively off of PVP-related activities. At level 1 you can jump into ORvR (though, admittedly, many people don't ORvR much until level 20+) or scenarios and doing their attached quests can level without ever laying a hand on AI-controlled mobs.
PVP isn't something you do on the side for "funsies" because it doesn't benefit your character much, and it isn't something you only do at endgame, it's something you can make THE game if you so choose.
If you decide to play, check out my post here (http://www.mmorpg.com/discussion2.cfm/thread/213606) on what servers would make a good new home.
The game is very multi-player dependant. If you arn't playing with or against other people, you won't have fun. A lot of complaints on this forums come from just that; people who were unable to find other people to enjoy the game with.
I am having a lot of fun, so is my girlfriend. It has similar starting PvE to WoW, so that will be familiar. The quest system also works almost the same, although WAR gives you general locations for the objectives as well.
The Scenarios are just like the BGs, only you can join them from almost anywhere in the game, and return to where you joined them from after they are done.
Those two systems (Scenario and PVE) are more enjoyable for me than WOW was (minus raids). The open RVR is still being worked out, but the lead developer has laid out some things I think will work really well.
All in all, I would recommend the game, on a populated server, as is.
One good thing that keeps my interest peeked in this game for one, when you make a class that mirrors the other class it doesn't feel like your leveling the same class up again. I play WOW as well and I have to say it is more repetious than Warhammer. The PvP actually means something other getting tokens and gear to stroke your e-peen over.
As the poster above me mentioned also, get with a good guild and populated server to optimize your fun within the game.
