the problem for ncsoft now is why trust them to invest in buying and subscribing to something like aion . they ve proven twice its not worth the time and effort of leveling characters in one of thier mmos.
History has shown they have not only given several floundering MMOs a chance, but they have kept them running far longer than most other publishers would. Tabula Rasa? Box sales sucked, first month sucked, retention sucked. You're going to blame NCSoft for that?
Auto Assault, Exteel, Dungeon Runners, and the NA/EU Lineage 2 servers are all proof that NCSoft does what they can to keep a title running when others would have long since pulled the plug.
There isn't a "right" or "wrong" way to play, if you want to use a screwdriver to put nails into wood, have at it, simply don't complain when the guy next to you with the hammer is doing it much better and easier. - Allein "Graphics are often supplied by Engines that (some) MMORPG's are built in" - Spuffyre
MMOers seem to have it in mind that MMOs (Games) are some kind of charity work. They are businesses and when a game is not making them enough money to keep it running. Its time to shut it down. Why keep a game running when its bleeding them? Or should they keep games running at the cost of running their business into the ground and have to shut down all their games? Fans have a part to play in this as well. People freaking over CoH getting closed, but I came back near the end and low level areas were empty. The game just was not bringing in new players.
