Well i seen a lot of WoW accounts go for $500 so i guess EQ2 ones will go for about same.

Honestly though i think its a complete waste.

Also right now from what i hear the gsme  is running very chopping for most .So the game needs a lot of fine tuning so essentially you are buying for a lot of fustration atm.

However buying beta accounts is totally stupid even if the game is very polished.

Want to tell me how that is illegal?

It is not a crime in the United States to sell your Everquest 2 beta account login and password.

SOE could do jack about it,  except ban your account.  If they sued you or pressed charges on say intellectual infringement they would lose and you would get alot more then what you would of selling it on Ebay to begin with.

If EQ2 Beta accounts are going for that much I wonder how much THIS (which is hanging on my wall) would go for... Not that I'd prolly ever sell it...

Sorry it's not a great pic, just couldn't get a good angle on it, I've tried counting how many of the team signed it, best I can come up with is like around 75, some of them overlap and are close together etc.

Not Nessecarily, two months ago on Ebay a guy was selling a World of Warcraft beta account, he had 57 bids, when it got shut down the High big was $11,504.  Saw the item myself.

People will artificailly inflate the price with no intention of paying it.  No legal action can be brought on the bidders since it's not a real product or the value can be disputed.   Example is the 'Britteny Spears' used chewing gum that sold for $14,000.... last got relisted with the seller stating he'll only accept preappoved bids.
