LF mmorpg focused more on solo and pvping

everything i hate about wow:

forced grouping to get gear ( putting up with people you hate - reason why i never see sunwell cos i have to put up with the terrible)

forced grouping to even pvp (no one wants to group with me to even do pvp after asking a few times in trade because my spec wasn't popular and i have to respec to find arena partners)

Before people think i am a complete loser in WoW:

I have cleared BT on my main,ZA bear mount, around 3k of achievement points ( including wrecking ball-pvp achievement in bg to kill 20 ppl with dying in a single bg), quite a few feats of strength

not the best but definitely not the worst

is asheron's call a good alternative? cos i am seriously looking into it and was told a lot of great stuff and not to mention you can solo everything even content.

It's inevitable that you will not like some people in an MMO so I suggest you start using your ignore/block list as most, if not all, games provide you with that option.

As for Asheron's Call yes it does offer a lot of solo content, but there are still quests you have to group for. I'm unsure if any MMOs offer strictly solo play with the possibility to get some of the best gear through it.

    Shaiya

    This classic-style MMORPG offers players:

PvE, PvP, RvR: The best of all game worlds in one game. Slay monsters, battle friends in duels, smite opposing players in PvP, and fight for control of the continent in Realm versus Realm combat. To the winner of RvR goes the blessing of their Goddess and all the bonuses that includes!

actually, there is a lot of mmorpgs that offer solo content. Conquer Online was 1 such game, until the game developers decided to screw it by making everything purchaseable with money, even levels until i got sick of the bs that is going on and i left. Down there, if there are people whom i dislike, it will not be a problem, I could pk them on the spot and ignore them.

I went to Entropia Universe and i loved it. The people were much more mature, even better than WoW. However, i realise that this game is very expensive, more catered to the rich people - hence the mature audience. You can play it very cheaply but it kind of reduces the fun but of course, this is a real cash economy game like SL so i wasn't surprised. This game in fact, doesnt require grouping and the graphics, gamplay is A+, only reason i left was cos of the money involved to progress and i prefer fantasy more then sci-fi.

So I went to WoW, hearing that it was the top game in mmorpgs and i soon began to dislike everything about it except for the gameplay. Everything about this game is forced grouping, and a couple of bad eggs can destroy the game say, a few healers who refused to turn up in a raid and screwed up 23 other people. In fact, it's more of a job then rl and it require people to suck up to others, people who are bad and can't play the game get priority over people who can played the game as long as you are friends with the leader, and people in top guilds can get away with many things, including marginalizing a player that isnt in a strong guild.  Even pvp requires you to group with someone else as well.

    Why not try Guildwars?

When you solo there you get a few bots that do the job for the rest of the team, if you have Nightfall you can even design those bots as you want.

The PvP style is that you either can join in a team or random, or even PvP with your bots against someone else with bots. Most of it is arenastyle combat even though Factions have some battlegrounds.

The game is made by the original programmer team from Wow, it is the best polished game out there, havn't seen a single bugg in it, and in one year of a lot of playing the server was down about 30 minutes. No lagg either.

Also, it have no monthly fees, just buy it and play for as long as you want. Almost gear grinding and very litle XP grinding either.

If you havn't tried it you should, it is a very different MMO but fun.
