not solo, you are in group unless you caught him with no drones and using the bs to mine
Drones don't do anything to frigates, as long as they are not lights. And most bs only have one flight of lights.. I was neuted, and had drones on me often enough. It's a matter of setup. A bleeder punisher can take on most battleships, and as many bs are fitted with a passive tank, all you need is time.
others kill titans with battlships wow no suprise there
You haven't lived in 0.0 and engaged titans, ever. Right? it took people several years to develop tactics to destroy a titan with just battleships..

You love to disagree with yourself, right?
either your soloing a complete newb.
Or simply you catch someone with the wrong fitting? I once cought a sniping eagle sitting 180k off gate (bookmarking 101 helps here). A few minutes later, it was toast. Velators rock..
really you got a kill mail on killing T2 cruisers with your shuttle solo or are you just blowing that out of your ass.
How do you get killmails with something that has no guns? There was a pirate in his vaga, he had a global criminal..in lowsec. He trief the "gang noob, warp to 0 and gank"-trick, i warped to a gate at 100 before i accepted, and dropped a container there. Back then containers bumped you...when he arrived, i went for the bump in the shuttle, and thanks to him using mwd (mass addition), he could not warp off fast enough. Gate guns roasted him. All a matter of tractics, not sp.
c'mon don't say "i" just because you see that youtube gang of industrial baited that stupid vaga. I personally cought a ceptor with my bestower, yes. Perfectly doable. RIP Taranis..oh, maybe you want to read exactly what i write. I've seen other hacs getting roasted by industrials. Considering the many medslots they have, you can do nasty things to any turret hac out there. If you happen to catch them with a web and 2p scram, plus a nice plate tank, chances are you will take zero damage from them..
I have had many solo encounters from empire war to 0.0
I have had many solo encounters from empire war to 0.0
I somehow doubt it.
He could actually, but it sounds to me as if he is playing EVE with a WoW mentality. Bigger is always better and the only way to win a fight is pure DPS.
edit: Or, it could mean he's been ganked many times in high & low sec, 0.0, and FW. He never claims to have killed anyone. LOL!

I don't think many people realize how much eve can reward the creative.
I think most people would be much better off if they never played another MMO before EVE. That way, they would not make the false connection between levels and SP+the skills invested in.
In a level based game, level 70 trumps level 50 every time, no matter what. Even 1 vs. many with that level spread will favor the lvl 70 99% of the time.
EVE is way different. In EVE a BS can be taken out by a frig or assault ship, or even by a small gang of noobs in frigs.
In my current corp, a 20 something day old player took out a caracal, and a well fit one too.
The variety of interaction in EVE as well as the depthe of the combat system make it a game that does not lend itself at all to comparisons with most other MMO games out there.
I highly recommend to new players, when you start EVE, check your preconceived notions at the door and learn what EVE is all about rather than trying to force it into the mold of the last game (or last 10 games) you've played.
Easiest way to put it each ship has 4 slot types Hi, Mid, Low, and Rigs with the theoretical maximum number of slots per type of 8 . There is atl east 50 types of items in each slot with the exception of rigs possibly. It is impossible to fit even that theoretical max slot ship to cover every single option of offensive and defensive equipment your opponent uses.
So every ship is a bit of give and take. most end up planning on doing a single thing like Damage or EWAR with the rest of the slot fitting... well what ever you can. So sometimes you can come up with a creative setup that really is effective that would not make sense normally. And the number of creative setups and tactics are only limited by what you and your friends can think of.
So next time you get constantly ganked by that player on the other side of the gate Consider a Abbaddon with a full hitpoint tank and nos/nuets for weapons with a webber and Scram as mids. Sure you won't kill him by your self but you'll be able to keep him there so the rest of your friends can rip him apart.
i wouldnt consider it trolling but yea i probably should of wrote more.
eve online is the definition of the click and watch type of gameplay. everything you do in that game is click and just let your ship do the rest. it is very boring and unless you want to take the time to understand everything in that game dont bother with it. to me all the game is about is make a bunch of money for some reason.
And ofcourse in WoW you actually go walking in your fantasy land? And in AoC or WAR or Unreal Tournament or Quake or any other game for that matter.
The way you are talking, every game is a point, click and watch. Bt the whole point of a GAME is that this process of point, click and watch is entertaining. And I found it to be much more entertaining in EvE than in any other MMO I have ever played.
If EvE is any different, then tell me whats the point of doing Quests in AoC, WAR or WoW? It is just the same. Entertaining and to progress further in the game. Infact I find doing Quests repetitively or having the exact same pvp play again and again and again quite boring. EvE is unique in that every interaction is unique and a different experience to a previous one. And it is so involved that it actually feels like you are part of the game. Feels like you're actually there.
the point of all games is to entertain you for awhile and let you think you have accomplish something. in wow and other mmo's i feel like i have accomplish something because i moved my character around and used abilities and so on, in eve i feel like i just pretty much told my ship to do something and watch him do it.

no. its pretty much like watching tv you just have to click your remote more often.
I tried the trial, didn't get the feel to it. I might go back soon though...I just wasn't ready!
