This thing is currently in beta, and I'm desperate for an invite.  I hear there's some kind of invite system for those already in beta, so if anyone has a spare key... (god I normally hate people that ask that) please throw it my way.

For those that don't know, Quake Live is basically a free to play re-release of the original Quake 3, with the Team Arena expansion pack, and an integrated web-site / friends / matchmaking system, as well as some graphical updates and gameplay tweaks.   The free to play part comes from the in-game advertisements.

I'm an old-school Quake player, been playing online since QuakeWorld and I've got some great memories of Quake 3.  I'm hoping a free game like this will revitalise the Quake community a bit.
