Just a question given people's disappointment with WOTLK and its lack of challenging endgame content:
Would you continue subscribing to WotLK after this first month?
If so, are you also subscribing to and playing another MMO at the same time?
Or are you cancelling your WoW subscription to subscribe to another MMO?
Or are you just going to stop playing MMOs altogether?

Once I get to 80 with my character, I will probably take a break from the game once again. I am already feeling the burnout once again, however maybe I just need a break from MMORPGs in general.
The game is pretty simple, but fun in its own unique way. It will at least get me thru December. In anycase, I probably wont re-sub once I hit 80 (but I have been known to change my mind in a flash).
Has your imaginary 'rogue' friend resub?
I'm sorry WAR isn't doing that well, but is it really cause for you to continually troll these forums?

Oh, cruel fate, to be thusly boned. Ask not for whom the bone bones. It bones for thee.
I am at the moment not very happy at WotLK so i do not think i will resub. I will keep an eye out for the new updates they put in for it, but i will be playing darkfall once i comes out. Seems like a new fresh game.
Nothing else out is worth a damn, so yes.
And Blizzard is fine with this. And I think that's WoWs greatest strength. Of all the MMOs I've played, WoW is the only one I keep coming back to even after months of not subscribing. And then I play a few months or even over a year before taking another break...then I come back...and the cycle continues.
While other MMOs fight desperately to retain all their subs, WoW says, "Okay, well good luck and be well. We'll be waiting for you whenever you feel like coming back. No pressure!"
I honestly don't know anyone who has completely quit WoW and never returned. They always seem to come back, even if it's only a few months. Those who do completely quit, tend to be ones who quit MMOs in general.
Oh, and I'm resubbing. Call it easy. Call it childish. Call it the same grind all over again. But WoW keeps entertaining me and that's what matters.
Im having way to much fun in GW and FFXI to resubscribe to wow even with WoTLK out. Sides I sold my account, so id be starting all over again lol..
Nah, the only real reason why WoW does not care if you leave is because you will be quickly replaced by some other sap.
I do not hate WoW, I have played it for a very long time and enjoyed it all that time. I just dislike what it is becoming and that on top of stale content has bored me out of my mind. Have not touched it in a while, did the good old usual research and watched friends play WoTLK...some things were interesting, a lot was just the same, perhaps with a different "color", but the same. And then some things were disapointing.. like Death Knights.
Oh well. Not resubbing. Probably not resubbing ever again at this rate, laying a lot of my hopes on new mmorpg that are coming out next year. Probably mostly Aion. Warhammer has been a lot of fun so far, I just wish I had time to play it hehe. Hopefully January gives me more time, I miss my guildies.
um yea theres no reason not to sub theres more than enough new stuff to keep me satisfied for at least a year and besides there isn't a single mmo thats techinically better than this.
no im so bored with the game for me it seems like its the same thing over and over that you do no matter where you are or what class you choose. i would rather play something else. right now im playing war but i really wanna try out darkfall or aion
lol...not doing well.... your obviously a dumbass by judging how "well" an mmo is doing only 2 months after release, and you probably havnt even played the game.
I don't necessarily disagree, but folks like Greyhoof here freak-out at the perception that it is and feel the need to continuously troll this forum.
Oh I wasted some money on what I thought would've been the successor to DAoC. Somehow EA punted on RvR and decided scenarios were a great idea. When I found myself the only person in the RvR zone or in a PQ, I let my sub lapse.
It's not that I don't wish EA well.

About to clear Naxx 25 been really good so far brings back alot of memories from vanilla wow. I am resubing.
It's amazing for someone so enthralled by WAR that he has to create all these troll threads on the "overall disappointment" of wotlk when the servers we have right now are still *filled* with players where WAR's servers in the same time period since *its* release was already in a serious decline.
I couldn't even enter a cave in Ungoro crater to tame a new beast without finding people there every time I went by, people are everywhere here, the dissapointment is so so big ... rofl
Theres never going to be a mmorpg thats different. Why because when you reach the "End" then theres always going to be a limitted amount of content.
For example, Darkfall, once you max your skill choices, besides just regrinding different skills, your going to.
1. Earn money
2. Craft stuff
3. PvP
Theres no magical mystery content that only darkfall can do.
But to Greyhoof.
I logged onto these forums today, and said i wonder if old greyhoof posted anything today. I really really wish your other topic wouldn't have been deleted, since i utterly schooled you in it.
But i'll restate it here.
95% of the population
1. Isn't 80 yet
2. Hasn't finished all the raid content in both 10 and 25 man versions
3. Hasn't even come close to fully gearing your character.
4. Hasn't even managed to move into raiding @ 80
5. Still doing pvp content.
I really don't know where your getting your OMGZ IT SO EZ EVERYONES DONE WITH ALL THE CONTENT.
Because it's not even close to being true.
I'm in a 10 man guild, and we still haven't moved into 3 drakes for obsidian, we haven't finished naxx 10(cleared 3 wings this week, our first week in, and it wasn't "easy" we just were all "better" at the game).
We are still having people hit 80.
Will we be resubbing? Yeah because there's a lot of stuff to do, and we aren't even close to being "done". You seem to be under the false idea that when you down a raids boss, you never have to go back to it, and that's just stupid.
Will WAR get a ton of resubs each month? I can tell you no to that though, for many reasons. And it's pretty obvious since your type would be you know, playing and discussing the game rather than try to strike up a fight here.
No. Cancelled in Aug. Bored as hell with this game. New expansion looks like more of the same. Friends I used to play with capped to 80 in a week. Now all they have to look forward to is 2 years of raiding, arenas, BGs, badges, and rep grinds.
I have other things to play/do.
Nope, whenever I have a hankerin' to play WoW I download the trial and am reminded as to why I don't resub.

You wouldn't understand
If your a hardcore gamer in a hardcore guild I can understand the disapointment. But like me in a semi hardcore guild we are having great fun.
Im also on Kazzak greyhoof and there are a lot of good guilds finished content....but there are more guilds like ours with a life outside of mmo;s that still enjoy playing.
I see you play War.....what a pile of crap that turned out to be. Losing subs faster than any game out there atm.
The minute I picked up a quest to search for seeds in deer poop, I logged an unsubscribed
wtf is a level 70 in full plate doing searching through crap?
Undecided at the moment. Having played wow since release I took a long break just before Wotlk. I bought Wrath leveled up to 80 and really enjoyed it. Now that I have hit 80 and done the 3 raids I'm a little unsure, kinda running out of things to do. Maybe I will unsubscribe and reactivate in a couple of months when there is more content...
i cancelled back when AOC released (quit aoc after my month was up) kinda been in limbo since. played war wich i do like but i think i'm just bored with MMOs they're all at their core basicly the same anymore.
i will try aion when it comes out but i don't expect it to be ground breaking or anything just that i've been waiting for it since before i was sick of mmos..lol
been playing some online games like S4 and just recently tried Savage 2 neither are mmos but something different to kill time. mostly off line games like KoToR and Assassin's Creed.sux i miss mmos but i just can't get into them anymore or if i do i get bored within a month. in a CB of one MMO wich seems promising but its a F2P would be alot better if made by a P2P company.first F2P sandbox i've played tho.
as for WoTLK i wouldn't mind giving it a try not so much the rehashed content but the new completely OP class. friend was telling me about the DK sounds insane, main reason i gave up on WoW is the lack of classes since launch.i want a good monk class to play in the worst way

Yes I have seen this with many of my friends who quit wow and then they just end up returning, but people really do quit that do not like the game after awhile. I played the game for about 2years and I quit over a year and a half ago. I haven't looked back and at the moment I'm playing FFXI and enjoying it a lot. So I haven't quit the genre.
This made me lol. I've done everything in wotlk in the first month. lol.

That's just sad, you must have played 24/7 then.
Ow wait, do you just mean go through raiding? Yeah... game is not just raiding to me, sad that's all you think it is though then
For people who enjoy more than one aspect of the game, noone runs through Wotlk stuff in under a month. I spent quite a while just getting the Salty title for my character alone.

yep. Most of the guilds that rushed to be 'naxx first' skipped 95% of the quests/content to do it. They all farmed the same instance over and over just to get to 80 fast. They now have a few months to go back and do the quests and crafting, to work on reputations and acheivements.
Within a month, Blizzard is going to introduce new raids and then the new quest hubs like Ogrila and Sunwell etc.

Well indeed those early 80's have now months ahead to redo their reputations and achievements lists... and they have ZERO PvP gear
... which is only being launched on Dec 17th.
I wonder what trick Wow-hater Greyhooff will now have to shower WotLK with more stories. Like ... look it took me 2 weeks to have full Epic end game PvP gear.
Laughs everyone.
I got a total of 3 drakes in TBC from titles and I would never step into boring, repetitive arena ever again
It's not PVP, it's dueling, and it's totally pointless, just like the rest of the boring WoW xpac
Sometimes you have to go off the beaten path. I'm currently having a blast with Wotlk and don't plan on canceling, until the next gig arrvies.
