Chronicles of Spellborn free 2 play working??

I download the free 2 play client, I have an account, (even madfe another one) but I cant log into the game. Says invalid name or password. Anyone having this problem? On the sites this is what it says, and Ive done all that.

Also, as of today 5th of December, the Free2Play Full Client Download of The Chronicles of Spellborn has started! Hop on to our Player-Site to create a Game account and to download the Full client for FREE !

No problem logging in with my free2play account, just logged in a min ago to check.

The auto strafe is ruining it for me atm, but I guess its best for aiming.

 It must be the ip filter blocking you, as you are from the US and have to play on the acclaim servers.

I'm having the same problem.

When i click on the link it leads me to the Players site but then redirects me to the US  Acclaim site, even though i'm living in the UK and i'm accessing the site from the UK.

Am I doing something wrong??

Nope, it should work.

Try logging in at their website and see what the problem is.

Did you validate your email? I forgot to do that and couldn't login at first.

USA, UK, Australia, and a list of other countries CAN NOT use the currently f2p client, because we are all IP blocked.  We are required to wait until Acclaim has their beta testing servers up for us, as they have the publishing rights in those countries.

Unfortunately, they failed to meet their Dec. 5th beta start date, and who knows how long it will take them.  From what I have seen so far, Acclaim seems to be pretty unstable and disorganized.  I don't know how many staff they have working there, but I'm guessing it's less than 10...

Spellborn has lead to a lot of disappointment in the US and other affected countries so far.

According to Acclaim the US/UK/Austrailia launch date is January 2009.

While the release date for those regions has been pushed back to January, they were supposed to be starting up the beta servers (Acclaim was, I mean) on Dec. 5th, to coincide with the European launch.  However, Dec. 5th came and went, and Acclaim didn't say a single word.  They didn't start the beta, and they didn't announce when they will.

 Acclaim? Dropping the ball? No, such a quality pervayor of cash shop crap could never provide anything but stunning service! I am shocked!

 

Seriously, I dont know what they were thinking choosing Acclaim as their publisher. If they don't already regret the decision, they will.

Have to say this is incredibly stupid, why not let the Free to Play-client be free for all, give everyone a chance to try out the game til lvl 7, then those who live in US, UK etc will of course have to wait in order to create an account and subscribe, I know that, different publishing deals and all. Btw, I live in Sweden and can play the trial so I'm not out for myself, I just want everyone to have a chance to try this potentially very good game out, get some hype going.

Anyhow,  to actively IP block players from playing a free trial now that is the most boneheaded decision I've ever heard about. This must be the only MMO (or any other game for that matter) that actively tries to prevent people from trying out their game! Those other developers and publishers with upcoming titles like Darkfall, Earthrise etc must be laughing their heads off right now

Yea i used same to creat f2p account. But keep getting game closed after a while from gameguard.

I've seen plenty of US-players on the servers this weekend, so there must be a way (indeed by proxy, I think)

ive been playing with proxies for a good part of the night, ive downloaded and installed the client, ive registered an account as well, but heres where the problem lies: going through a proxy to validate through the e-mail sent is impossible to my knowledge. hotmail, yahoo etc cant be opened through a proxy ie prox24. all proxies ive set in firefox have been duds...

Is it just me or does their release and subscription system feel unessecerely complicated? Their first release was to a select few European countires then the rest of the world later, I mean how hard is it to do a continent at a time? And I signed up because I saw that it was F2P for Europeans and I have been on pending for 4 days now, did I sign up for a beta, or an actual F2P game account? Im really confused as to whats going on with this game, is it out to Europeans or not? And now I hear it's only free till level 7?

 

PS. I live in Bosnia (could that be a problem, we're not "European" enough lol)

If you want f2p , you need to use https://eu-players.tcos.com/ to register your account. Since you are in bosnia you will have to use proxy to register. And for download https://eu-players.tcos.com/game/downloads.phtml

My problem is that proxy24.com is blocking javascript from running. Therefor, I can't get past their image confirmation tool thingy when registering for a new account. Can anyone confirm or know a way around this?

Goggle anonymous proxy list then google how to use proxy in your browser...
