I know ive posting abit here today. I was just wondering how many of you people out there use those D-Link gaming routers? Are they as good as they claim to be? was thinking about upgrading my netgear range max with mimo tech to one of those d-links next month. Just looking for some input on it.

I do own the DGL-4100 which is the wired D-Link gamerlounge, and it is as good as they say, as I've been using it for 2 or 3 years now and it has never once gone down or lagged and that is with a PC, a laptop, and a wireless router hooked up to it (for my neighbors laptop), this is all with me or them downloading and gaming and any combination in between.
So all in all I'd say they are worth it for the money and have many great features as well as game port forwarding with lots of games already programmed in.
Edit~I forgot to mention the wireless versions are just as good and the new (or was new) DGL-4500 is very good but slightly more expensive.
It might just be me; I have had nothing but problems with D-Link routers. I use LinkSYS routers now. Never has failed on me.
I've never had a problem with a D-link, as I've used this 4100 for about 3 years, and have a D-link pocket AP/Router/Bridge that works fine, though I've had major problem with linksys, the first one I used got fried, literally, as it couldn't handle the load on it, and my brother-in-law had me hook up another what was supposed to be a "good" linksys and that one too burned up from the load put on it yet the D-link keeps going.
Also I generally see bad reviews about linksys in common, with same or similiar issue as them not being able to handle heavy traffic or even simple gaming and have to be reset constantly or just plaing dying.
I have seem some D-link's have some difficulties but never seen anyone have any issues with a gamelounge as they work great and as intended so long as you follow instructions.
thanks for the input. I can say imho that i will not go with linksys ever again. constantly had to reset this and that with those blasted routers by linksys. I hve been looking at those d-links game routers for awhile, just trying to justify the money for one.
