Actually, it is confusing to many.

    The bottom line is this:

Warrior classes:  you won't go wrong with points in body.

Mage classes:  you can't go wrong with points in mind.

    Rogue classes:  focus.

So, what does the secondary stat mean?  Well, if there were a decent link to give you, I would, but basically as you progress you will have some skills which are based on your secondary attribute for effectiveness.  On a runemage, that is body, essentially meaning you are going to have some melee skills.  How effective you want to be with those skills is up to you.  So distribute your points however you see fit.  This is where a good link with a skill list would be nice to do some pre-planning, however I have not seen one that is worth posting yet.

I'll tell you this though, when I levelled a runemage, I basically did all mind to level 5 then 2:1 mind / body.  In retrospect, I'm not sure if I would do that, maybe 3:1 mind:body.  Just make sure you get the melee skill which on a successful hit give you a mind buff.  Stack that and nuke away and you will find that RM is probably the easiest class to play once you figure out how to maintain your heal buffs in your skill deck.

Well, I am not a hundert percent sure here, but does it not also depend on the chosen skills/spells. So if you choose a lot of spells with the mind icon, and only very few with the body icon in it (or vice a versa), then I would distribute my attributes accordingly.

These are questions that I would very much like to have answered as well. At the moment it is very hard to plan a character!

Well, for the runemage, at least, it depends on your play style. This is basically how you customize your character. Look in your skill book. Each skill has a main attribute and a main magic type. Each attribute affects a certain magic type, which you can see by hovering your mouse over the attribute. Basically, put points into the attributes that affect the skills you like the most.

Not the easiest read ever, but it might help.

You guys are correct in that you have to look at your skills to see which attribute they use.  That is the reason I said I wished I had a good link about exactly what choices a Runemage has over it's career.  However, overall you won't go too terribly wrong putting points primarily in mind.  When I played a RM, I did a 2:1 mind to body, but recommend more along the lines of 3:1 until we see a better list of skills.  I found I was using my mind skills much more than my body skills by the time I hit my high teens, early on (5-8ish?) though I was using several body skills.

I am no expert by any means, the whole game combat structure has me up in the air,i only have just over an hour into game play. What i did notice is that the skill sets have 3 icons on them,i think it shows the attributes of each.I could be wrong those 3 icons i saw on the skills may mean nothing to us lol.

I think you would have to look ahead or have some idea planned as to what type of combat you are going to be doing.IDK though the skills probably change constantly,i see it as mess of everything mushed together ,we need a really good editorial to explain the actual do's /don't and tendencies.
