Well the population drop was definetly expectable to everyone. Many people came back to play WotLK and many left. I garuntee though that some of them stayed and therfore the population grew a little more. Warhammer was a good game but after a while it just got boring. LotRO is probably the best PvE game out there. And AoC is just AoC.
WoW - Huge fan base - Expansion (not release, just an EXPANSION) sold more than all three competitors combined, 20+ new NA servers opened to cater to the added load (more new servers than some of the competition have in total world wide). WAR - Piss poor game - Forced server merges - Maybe xfire should record how much time WAR fans spend on WoW forums talking shit, probably double the time they spend on their WAR servers playing that shit. AoC - Worse than WAR, all round bad game, hard to pick out one redeeming feature from this mother of all turds. Lotro - Of the three I think Lotro is the most successful and most interesting, however they lost me after the beta, the Moria expansion does look tempting however and I may jump in again at some point. However, still not a competitor to WoW in raw number of players.
The only (almost) fact listed is that WoW sold more than the other games. None of the the rest is fact, and is pure opinion.
LOL..... in your opinion, the facts however say your opinion is on par with the success level of WAR and AoC combined.

So commercial success is eqivalent to the best game now. LOL. I guess Britney Spears must be so much better than Bravery then...NOT. AoC got the steamroll going now. Game with growing population.

So on the flip side a tragic ugly flawed launch with server mergers and loss of the overwhelming majority of its players somehow equates to quality? I guess when Funcom goes belly up that will show just how awesome the game really was.
Briney spears is an entertainer aimed at pre teens and yes she kicked ass at her job. There is a large difference between an artist and an entertainer, but many people are just to ignorant to understand that.

No Britney sell the most she is the best. Please stay on topic.
The AoC shills are unrelenting. First you spammed WAR forums with xfire stats and now you're trying it here? Yet right after AoC xfire stats are mentioned, they suddenly "mean nothing".
Yeahyeah and yeah so WotLK is the biggest kid on the block, strong and mean and all that... But it also looks like this kid is getting a bit obese. lol WoW LK has consistently lost gaming time in Xfire since launch, less than a month back. It's not something just related to the season as both LotRo and AoC seem to have gained some gaming time. Even WAR looks almost like stabilized. Could it really be that people finally are getting fed up by the Fat and Ugly Punk in MMO world? Comments /www.xfire.com/games/wow/World_of_Warcraft/
Lol, you again?!
Are you never happy? Just by the title and by my BS meter, I am totally unsurprised to see you as the OP, and STILL with that xfire crap, even though you failed when you tried to troll WAR with them in comparison to AOC.
This is the kind of useless crap the mods should endeavor to rid this site of...you bring down the collective mmo IQ.

If the mmorpg has more than 100k subscribers, what does it matter to you anyway, its not like your seeing 100k subscibers on the same damn server anyways.
If your having fun in either one of these days, good for you.
Alot of players want their particular MMORPG to be #1 and everyone wants to be part of a WINNING team and state my MMO is better than your MMO.
With all do respect, I look at it this way..
1. World of Warcraft been around since 2004, it had the time to establish a solid mmorpg game and keeping it simple to where anyone can simply get into the game and understand it. The age bracket for this game (5 years of age up to 100 years old). Its got pretty cartoon graphics like Dragon Ball Z while trying to keep a serious attitude with some laughs when it comes to game play.
2. Warhammer Online, if you dont like PvP, then Warhammer isnt for you, WAR is very centric around PvPing / RvR and not geared 75% into PvE like other mmo titles. The game still has a strong following, but if your looking for a Dragon Ball Z type mmo, this isnt the one for you. The graphics are more realistic and the characters looked all pissed off, hell its WAR, it shouldnt be pretty.
3. LotRO, another solid mmorpg with a HUGE fanbase when it comes to everything on this planet and not just a MMORPG, if your a Lord of the Rings junkie, we all know what game your playing.
4. EQ series, the MMO that set pretty much set standards for what we got now, I understand UO being one of the pioneers of the MMO, but to me you can see Everquest elements in every MMO you play. It may not have had the same success as World of Warcraft, but if it wasnt for EQ, we wouldnt have what we got today in MMORPGS. EQ has to have the Hardest of hardcore fans to even play the game and keep it going after so many years. A TRUE dedicated base.
Now of course, games that were not mentioned like my other past favorites and also bring to the table .. Dark Age of Camelot, Eve, SWG, Anarchy Online, Ultima Online and Ascherons Call.
If it wasnt for these titles as well, we all still would be playing FPS games like Starsiege tribes, Unreal, Half Life and MUDS..
And this is just MY opinion on the subject at hand..

Absolutely devastating. At this rate, LotRO, AoC, and WAR will kill WoW off completely in ten to fifteen years.
Lol, you again?!
