Story based world building website

I'm trying to get a genral opinion for a website im starting soon and I, what community is better than the one on mmorpg.com. The website is a place where a main story (written and added to with constant updates) and user will be allowed to align themselves with different factions within the story. The users will also be allowed to upload their own adventures, putting themselves in the story with their own side adventures. their will be monthly contests for the best "adventure" and chances to write a story where their character works with the main character. There will be other feutures also that i can't really let out right now. So what so you say.

I actually like this idea. I'd go one step further and mix user content with the "official" lore. Rather than create the lore yourself and have the community write stories in this already created world have users create the creatures, monsters, cities, and landmarks. If they get a high enough rating they are written in as official lore. Keep an interactive map constantly updated with new cities and geographical landmarks are they are voted in.
