Since this game is coming out in a couple of days, what you guys think about it, and how much you think it will impact the overall look of the F2P MMO genre?
-in my personal opinion, this game might bring what most F2p users had been looking for, hopefully with nice graphics.
A weapon doesnt make a Warrior Legendary, Is the warrior who makes the weapon.

Im excited.
Im gonna play it, im praying it wont be like the other f2p games and sell xp pots, and how good you are is based on how much you spend in the cash shop.
Right now Atlantica Online is hands-down the best f2p mmo available.

I doubt it. It fails at the basic level, I think. If people can't easily download and patch the game, then how can they play it?
So many free MMORPG companies make it hard to download the client, making you use weird file hosting places that want you to pay them to download the file, this one is no different.
But this is the first one I've tried where the patching apparently has to be done at once. I can't let my computer sit for 12 hours straight to patch it. How many people can? Even when my ISP had me uncapped, I tried it, and it still would have taken 12 hours or so, it was slow on their end.

Oh were they supposed to use the snooze fest attack system that every other MMO on the planet uses?? Only a handful do things differently in combat and AO is hardly basic combat...... You wont hear anyone that actually makes it past level 20 complain about the combat....its only the WOW noobs that play 10 minutes and cant figure it out....... If your gonna call out the combat system then lets hear why it fails...... I think its one of the best combat systems I have ever played......Light years better than the bore fests in games like WoW/EQ2/LoTRO/etc......
A for RoM I have heard alot of good things about it and I will most likely give it a try once it releases.
This game looks interesting so yes I'm gonna play it once beta goes into the open phase on December 15.
This game looks exactly like World of Warcraft just that the characters looks better in the face than in Blizzard's game.
And hopefully they won't nerf the Knight class into oblivion like Blizzard did.
I plan to play it on the 15th as well. To me the game looks like a cross between DDO and Fable. I do have hopes that it will be the 2nd best F2P mmo, but I am not getting all hyped up about it since the imagination is normally better than the actual thing.

relax guy...it's only a free game, no reason to freak out

You obviously didn't think your post through, only WoW noobs cant figure it out?
If you call Wow players WoW noobs, but will give RoM a try, you're a bloody hipocrite, RoM = F2P WoW
If you're going to play RoM you just insulted yourself.
Although i just attempted to flame you, i agree that Atlantica has a great combat system, untill the 15th of this month when RoM releases it will definatly be the best F2P available, and maybe even after that.

Runes of magic is a 90% wow clone....done quite well actually, been playing the clsed beta. It will do well, i stopped playing atlantica because of the stamina system.
But i enjoy Megaten more tehn runes of magic so i am not sure which i will focus on.

apart from the fantastic alluring name, what is so special about this game?
First F2P game that is actually good enough to could have been a P2P game.
I played better MMOs but the graphics and gameplay are actually quite good.
Mediocre graphics and uninspiring gameplay pretty much sums up this game. It has possibilities though, perhaps we should wait until we see what the game looks like at release before annointing it as the next thing. They have a long way to go at present as there are much better f2p's out there.
