Did they announce when OPEN BETA is?

Now that we have a release date (WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT 
), have they announced OPEN BETA yet?
I'd like to try this game out before deciding if I will sub.
But even if they don't I hope they have a free trail.
I'd like to try this game, as it always sounded interesting, despite all the arguments about whether it was coming out or not.

Date of open beta has not yet been announced, but previously when their goal was to release within 2008, they said the open beta will end early december I think.
So yeah they did have plans for an open beta, but now they've pushed their dates back, nothing more has been said about it.
In short: We don't know.

"The announcement during ADW was that the open beta phase is scheduled to end early in December."
I'm pretty sure that by now their "schedule" has changed... unless someone thinks we're getting a download today.
Hopefully we will get an update from Tasos on when/if OPEN Beta will take place soon. Heh... no later than Jan. 22nd anyway. If there is no OPEN Beta and/or no Free Trial available by Jan. 22nd... Tasos and Aventurine will have wasted quite a bit of support for their product. I for one will stay away. There are some other vocal supporters who have stated they will be staying away if that is the case as well.

Same here i will not be buying this game unless i can try it out before spending my money. We should all do this after what AoC and other games like Dark and light have done in the past.

No open beta or free trial i wont play either. I find it rather strange that they wont have an open beta to get more ppl to testify to the game even if it's by word of mouth only.

Any form of open beta will likely not hit much of the US.
By releasing European servers first, they will likely focus their efforts and testing for that crowd first... and lag/latency/problems for us Over-sea-ers.... will likely be noted but not focused on.
Europe will be their starting point
NA will be welcomed, but generally ignored during the primary release...
We will feel like second class citizens in this MMO... we will become rabid... angry...
We will spew vile threats so corrosive it would bring down forums en-masse...
But when they have everything smoothed out in Europe, and open NA servers..

Having never seen the italian site (and not knowing italian and assuming its in italian) I will have to take your word for it.

No they haven't any. For what i noticed mmoprg.it forum now is a bad source and is full of spam and nolife fanbois.
I think forumfall, Gianna blog and Mmorpg.com are the best and reliable source for info about beta.
Btw, hope there is open beta soon before the end of '08.
I actually dont think they are going to do an open beta, this game has been in the making for a while and Tasos said "we could release this game tomorrow" in one of his interviews, so i doubt that they will do open beta. Hopefully its not like AoC

Seriously, there is just as much if not more trolling and/or flame-fests that happen over on the official forums than here.
Here there are but a handful of people that regularly trash the game... seriously the list is probably less than 10 people. Now granted, those 10 people do make quite a few new accounts... but still... it's not really that many people.
The vast majority of posters here; while not true fans/supporters of the game, are definitely not trolls either.
but anyways i think the game should go to beta giving the fans a chance to experience the darkfall onslaught before they get there hands on a copy from the store, the only thing i am worried about is the community, without a community there is no MMO just RPG, but i think and hope there is because this game will have the addiction of crack.
