Well, im getting some new equipment - motherboard, two sli video cards and some ram, and this is what they are

EVGA 132-CK-NF78-A1 ATX Intel Motherboard
EVGA 512-P3-N860-TR GeForce 9600 GT 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card (2)
I need any recommedations on a processor I can get the most of. and any thoughts on my new hardware would be highly appriciated, thanks a lot guys.

Those 9600s cost as much as these 9800s

On processors I suggest a quad core. Games are just now starting to go full multi-core. At the minimum get a Q6600. I wouldn't go above a Q9550 since the price to performance isn't there.
what is your financial deal? If you want a good proc on the cheap go AMD. Some people swear by intel but I run a great AMD system, never fails me.
