Economy Introduction

Hey all,

I have just received the quest that introduces you to the economy and I have a choice of starting in Cat Island or Whitby. Which place should I choose and why?

This may be a few days too late for you, but I chose Cat Island for convenience.  Whitby is closer to the Pirates' trade hub (Matthew Town), but I was given to understand that if you choose Whitby you'll be sailing back and forth from Whitby to Cat Island a few times and I didn't want to go through that.

The structures you end up building in the Econ Tutorial are free; that is, the NPC gives you the money for them before you start.  And they don't produce really valuable goods anyway, so you're just going to tear them down when you decide what sort of econ production you want to do to make money or support your society.  Cat Island, therefor, is the convenient choice since you're already there.
