So I went to the bakery today and there was a chocolate cake in the window. I had never heard of this bakery so I assumed the cake was terrible.

A lady walked up next to me and told me that particular cake was delicous. I told the old twat "SHUT UP OLD LADY YOU'RE JUST TRYING TO TRICK ME!" yea I showed her off.

you see I knew the game these bakery people play. They plant old ladies outside to say how delicious their cake is when it's actually horrible.

I was telling my friend about my experience and he told me that his mother loved the chocolate cake from that bakery. I told him he was blind and devoid of common sense for trusting her opinion without tasting the cake himself.

he told me that I should try and give the cake a chance but I would have none of that bollocks and told him that I was on to his plan and ran out the house screaming.

I drove into the woods because everyone was trying to make me eat that disgusting cake by saying things like "it's delicious"

I was browsing these forums and I wanted to know if you could relate to my problem concerning cake.

OK, back to Darkfall. It's a small company with lofty expectations. We've all seen this so many times, D&L, Wish, Vanguard, ect.

 

Many will assume it sucks 'till it comes out, which is fine, they've probably been burned before. Most of us want it to succeed though, there's just a TON to making an MMO that usually screws new mmo companies over, hopefully not this time...

You got it ALL wrong.

In this case this phantomatic bakery on Baker street 25 has been there for like ever.

They never show any cake, they just have a PICTURE of a cake! and sometimes you can sniff something coming from inside. Inside there are more pictures of the cake, no cake at all, and a bunch of people that will do all they can to convince you the cake is delicious and moist!

Meanwhile the people outside are probably quite amused. When they pass next to the bakery they usually chuckle and shake their head a bit. Most of them are ready to taste the cake if it would ever be made.

Every once in a while a preacher take his soap box there and start yelling at passerbys how the cake is a lie and how evil are the cake's makers.

Sometimes the preacher and the guys inside even comes to blows.

It is all entertainment for the passerbys, mostly.

Maybe they forgot that the NDA was still up...who knows, maybe it is way too heavy, they are afraid to drop on their feet.
