Today was a milestone since the NGE was thurst upon us!

Starsider was a hot bed of activeity today and I think the server transfers in the near future played a part in that.
I saw hundreds of people all day long and it had to be one of the most active days since the NGE was forced upon us.
I pvp'ed, ran instances and crafted special orders today.
Must say I had a very star-warsy day in my sandbox !!!
Now a forcast Citys will be over thrown and conquerd by those moving over and takening charge.
I know of two citys that new owner ship shall emerge.

Amazing how these stories that always pop up about "Hundreds of people everywhere" NEVER have any screen shots showing these people.
Whats even worse is that they say "hundreds of people" like it's an amazing accomplishment(well I guess it is for the NGE) when that was the norm back before the NGE.

Jesus guys. Ever thought of the fact that he might just be excited to see a few more people playing on a server in a game that he enjoys? Did he ask/tell/beg you to sign back up or log back in? To me all it looked he did was express his enjoyment of having a few more people online to mix-up the politics of the game.

Can you please supply a screenshot of the empty servers you encoutered on your trial. Just for your own safety of course, otherwise the cheeto brigade will own you hard sir.

3 years down the road and I am pretty sure, the majority of players are tired of the "Vets" same old song and dance.
Is there anyway I can get the "SWG Vets" forum posts blocked so when I do log on I don't even see them taking up space that can be used for constructive s**t?

Actually Starsider does have a very healthy community. Unfortunatly my old main is on Gorath. It's not a "from" server in the free transfer, and although nobody is going to move to Gorath because it's dead, my character is stuck there. Getting a free move to Starsider would have caused me to resub just because they have so many well organized RP events. Ahh well, all the better because SOE continues to shoot that game down with horrible descisions.

Is Starsider one of the transfer servers and has the free transfers started yet? If so then its possible the OP has seen more activity on his server recently. If not....shenanigans.
Edit: Just checked and the free transfers don't take place until 13 Jan. The OP's statement looks a little dubious now. Though, to be fair, maybe people are checking out the server or have reactivated inactive characters in anticpation of more people coming to the server in the near future.

"Dead" in the terms I am using it means that you can walk on Bloofin for an hour and not witness another human player. "Dead" means that 10,000 people play over 20+ servers.
By the way everyone, free transfers haven't even happened yet so the OP is simply telling everyone a lie. What a joke defending this nonsense.

actually starsider is quite alive, and has a very healthy population. There are some servers which indeed are packed, while others may be dead.
We are allowed to post anywhere we want to and we can post here as much as we want as long as we discuss the CURRENT game, which we are.
You don't have to prove anything? Of course not, you can't. The free transfers haven't even taken place yet so we know you are lying. You were caught because you didn't bother to confirm when the transfers even went active... Good stuff and a BAD attempt at viral marketing.

I predict 2009 isn't going to start with a bang for SWG, especially as the lead designers/producers answer to solving low populations was to spinelessly expect the paying customers to do the dirty work for them in the form of free character transfers.
But hey that's the thing about SWG, if you're on a populated server you can afford to wear your rose tinted glasses and pretend everything is swell. But unfortunately there are several veterans who don't share your enthusiasm especially the ones who have been told that their home server is a transfer and not destination server.

NO! Fun in SWG is impossible. If you encounter more than 3 people in your daily gaming experience, you are required to provide a screenshot, or else you are lying. These are the rules of the MMORPG.com SWG boards.
