I switched from Opera 9.62 to Minefield 3.2a1pre.......amazing fast

I was not that satisfied with operas 9.62 browsing speed since i did install it. There are loads of infos out there how you can tweak your opera browser which did help but not that much.

I did several browser performance testing with this online browser testing page here:

My opera browser got a 5/10 score without tweaks and with tweaks around 8/10....after a while i had enough and tried out minefield 3.2a1pre....

 

The difference was crazy for me....so lightning fast and score after testing is 10/11

 

Try it out, its really great....

    Very fast, but full of bugs. It's an Alpha for Firefox.

    Ha, I ran the test for IE 6.0 on my jobs computer and it got a 4/11 .. w00t

    Are you sure it's not just a placebo effect you're experiencing.

    I've been using minefield for months now, and it's really fast and rock solid.  I've run into less issues with it than Opera, IE, and regular FF.  I wonder if being 64bit is what makes it so fast.

    I did use the latest opera version before and the browser was really slow sometimes, mmorpg.com didnt load at all without the refresh button for me, other pages with lots of pictures were slower as well. The browser test got me bad results 5/10 better after tweaks but still slowing problems during browsing. Since i use minefield i got lots of speed back, i dont know if chrome is faster or not but it has less features and probably similar speed.

    Well just google for opera 9.62 and you will see a lot of people have speed issues...

    Could not see really huge bugs so far, i did not use firefox for over a year since the bookmark bug was just terrible. Lost several times my whole bookmarks + bookmark backup fail function. I will see how bookmarks work now in this version, got only two minefield browser crashes so far not that bad.

    Btw i did use the normal firfox tweaks for the minefield version....
