I've been reading a lot lately and some people say they solo all the way to level cap. Well that's dandy and all, but on the most populated servers, is grouping a rare commodity or is it common place? I really don't want to play a single player game and i'm hoping that I will be able to find groups whenever I need to. I intend to roll a guardian anyway. How is it up in Moria later, also?
Thanks.

Groups are easy to get especially with a guardian.
The most populated servers are Brandywine, Elendimir (SP) and Landroval but I would recommend Nimrodel or Silverlode....alot less lag in man areas.
My 54 captain has barley touched Moria but what I have seen is fantastic.
MMO Played-EQ, EQ2, WOW, DDO, GW, COH, Vanguard, WAR

what does that SP stand for?
It's sort of easy.
Sure you can find many groups (and usually people just shouting for groups) but many times people just group up for a particular quest and then disband. This is fine for me but many people want more.
If you join a good kinship this should alleviate the problem.

I see LFF requests for Guardians all the time on my server, Vilya, which is one of the lowest pop servers. YMMV.
well it's your own choise to lvl solo or to make groups sometimes
both are fun, but i prefer doing quests in group ^^
and it's easy to find groups even on lower populated servers

waiting for ... nothing..
Group is encouraged in game ? Well in response to this question, in Lotro there are loads of quest types. I symplify them into solo and fellowship ( group ) quests. Speaking about fellowship quests, they'r not the things that you can single-handedly handle, so the point is Lotro forcefully ( somehow ) provides incentives to group up. For instance a lvl 40 can't even get away at ease with a fellowship quest recommended at lv 36 to kick off.
I hope it somewhat answers your question
That SP stands for Spelling? - like he wasnt sure if he was spelling the name of the server correctly...
I play on Nimrodel, and I beleive it is the LEAST populated server - groups are easy to find at lower levels but 30-50 is kinda tough... Moria 50+ gets easy again, just because of the population concentration around these levels!
Grouping is fun! I wish more people would be open to it
Honestly if you get into a decent sized kin you will most likely always find a group in kin. Got my alt through the ame helping a new guy. And with mom out everyone wants to make an alt.
I'm not a no life that sits in front of his computer all day long, I'm an intern that sits in front of his computer all day long.
You can easily find a group.dont worry at all~~
Honestly,whenever i want a group, i can find one,.
i agree with u~just log in and fink a group,it's easy at all
I've been able to find a group once in the last 3 months I've played the game.
Almost everyone would rather solo, or just do quests with their kinship. I'ts a very, very insular community...

Same thing was talked about in VG forums just a day or so ago. I think main reason for what you are seeing is "PUG burnout", people are avoiding temporary groups because those break up after people have completed their foremost goal, have quality issues etc. And I have to admit that I'm one of the elitist jerks just playing with IG friends or kin members exclusively. Maybe because playing mostly healers and having my share of direct ninjainvites, or tells where there wasn't one proper english word...
Another reason these days are the voice chat possibilities both inside and outside the game engines. Why bother with the game chat channels when you can talk with your mates with voice.
But this isn't a problem with LotRO only, it is a trend having an effect on most if not all MMO(RPG)'s at present. Until trend changes, only advice I can give is the one you must have been tired already: Find yourself an active and good kin/guild with active members in the time you are playing at.

Well, I have to admit that I avoid pickup groups whenever I can.
I'm not adverse to grouping but there are so many people out there who just make these games "not fun" that I would rather just group with friends and kin.

That would be grouping. Its very easy to find a PUG in this game, and most times, people will hang around if your goals are the same as theirs, if not, everyone is always friendly.
Just don’t walk in and piss on the drapes.
