Could it be possibly true, thinking the unthinkable. No it is not players returning to WoW following their disappointment with Warhammer, but YES, that a significant percentage of Warhammer players are returning to Dark Age of Camelot. This really is a sad indictment of the quality of the game. But what it does truly say is that Warhammer never was going to be a DAOC2 or that Warhammer is not a patch on DAOC. Bring back realm versus realm involving three realms might be the key to future success for MMO designers.

I don't think that it has anything to do with the lack of another realm, I think that there are many other things that are missing from DAoC that players miss.
And really, WAR is pretty boring, every night it's the same shit over and over.
If the population goes up some more or if they actually get off their ass and make Origins I think you might see a "healthy" resurgence of players... at least for a little while
I know I'd go back if any of that happened.
No required quests! And if I decide I want to be an assassin-cartographer-dancer-pastry chef who lives only to stalk and kill interior decorators, then that's who I want to be, even if it takes me four years to max all the skills and everyone else thinks I'm freaking nuts. -Madimorga-
