One of the best things EQ2 had going for it in my eyes (except the graphics) was the ability to be both a regular class and the artisan class at the same time.
THat is still the case right? On the site right now it looks an awfully lot that the Artisan class would be its own class, and that you could not pick any other class's along with it if youc hose to be one.
Ya, it clearly states that your artisan lvl and your combat lvl will be seprate so that you can be a lvl 7 warrior and a lvl 50 artisan at the same time.

Yes your wrong , you can pick one thing to specialize in on the artisan branch along with your normal class. So you could be a warrior and then specialize in blacksmithing and then err i forget but yeah its not its own class.
Thanks new Artisan page had me confused since they took out the *Regardless of profession, anyc haracter can become an Artisan* disclaimer on the bottom.
