I used to play this game a year ago and it was enjoyable but after about 2 weeks of playing I only saw a handfull of people literally. It's not so fun when it feels like a solo player game, anyhow from what I hear things are improving.
So with vanguard imrpoving is the population improved too? I know it's not going to be like wow's but as long as I see people it would be worth downloading again.
Thanks in advance.

Stop playing in the back woods or on the Pvp server...
Im constantly seeing people around towns and Dungens. You should have no problems finding people.. getting them to group or state the Lvl of player for their group is a diffrent matter tho.

I'd say that Seradon is not officially over-populated. Too many people everywhere.....
The population has been growing for sure lately, lots of new players. Three out of four servers has been on medium and one(sometimes Xeth, sometimes Seradon) has had the setting "up".
PvP server is empty, otherwise the population is growing day by day thanks to the trial and regular veteran trials.
Whilst you may have trouble finding a group in the week, at weekends there is lots of activity.
Suggest finding a guild and some online friends.
Now playing: VG (after a long break from MMORPGS)
Played for more than a month: Darkfall online, Vanguard SOH, Everquest, Horizons, WoW, SWG, Everquest II, Eve
I'm playing on halgar , started 2 months ago, and i feel really solo.
Yestarday i went on north of thestra doing quest in a village, with all service (banker, exchange etc),
in 2 hours of play i meet no one!
Also searching people for low - level dungeon is not easy.
The game is interesting but in practice, from the beginning to lvl 22 , i played in solo, like a single player game ((

well i always seem to find one or two in the area im in . but i do agree with you because it has been out a while and a lot of people are in thier mid 20's you dso have your solo bit at the beginning
I play on Halgar, and I see people here and there and the region-chat isn't excactly what you could call quiet.
One tip, If you're feeling lonely, apply to a guild(there'sa complete guild-list in the social-window, or like I did, I just popped a question in the region-chat if there were any available guilds out there and received like 4-5 offers within 20 seconds.), there are several guilds out there(on Halgar atleast) recruiting people, so keep in mind that a lot of people tend to stay within their guilds as well.
Don't expect people to come to you, but try to be social yourself and ask around in the region-chat. And the areas are huge, so it's easy to feel lonely, I know.
I've met a fair number of new subscribing players as well on my journeys throughout Telon.
Cheers.
SERADON is very populated.
i've heard the others are ghost towns.
but i have no problems finding groups and seeing people running around the cities and dungeons

Same for me
Empty and it gonna get worst after the end of free month given by SOE. stopped 2 days ago and saw maybe 1/2 3 people no more. was completely alone.
This game had more subscribers in January 2008
This game has only old accounts (Free month give by SOE from dec 2008 to jan. 2009) and trial accounts
No more no less. It will be an empty world in feb 2009 (end of free month)
NB: FB Blocked/ over.

Wow, you're a really bad troll, mate. Answered one of your other posts here in this forum about subscribers. Only old accounts you say? How about my own account, I started playing this game a few weeks ago, and so did some of my RL friends. Fresh, new accounts. Same with several others that i've met in-game, including new people(new subscribers) in the guild i'm in. So please stop "nagging" about that there are only old accounts and no new players, you clearly have no idea of what you are talking about.

I am also a new player (about 2 months), not an old or trial account. And I plan to stay with this game for a long while. I'm enjoying myself and this game has more content you can shake a stick at!
Last time I played WOW was summer '08. I tried for 3 weeks to get a group for a quest in a high level zone with no success. I was also playing a level 20 something alt. While playing the alt I was often the ONLY person in the zone I was in. I couldn't get a group then either lol. And we all know how many people play that game! I was not in a guild at the time though. So difficulty finding a group doesn't always mean low population.
I can't remember ever playing Vanguard for 2 hours and not seeing anyone. The main cities and larger quest hubs always have people around. Chat is often chatty. And I play days, eves, and nights, during the week and weekends. But the game world is huge with many hubs and dungeons and other things to do so people can be spread out everywhere. That may be the main problem, there's so many different things to do and so many quests that the chance of finding someone who needs the exact same quest as you at that exact same time may be lower.
Really, the best way to get groups is to find a guild, and there's lots of good guild around. There's even a handy, dandy guild finder in game to make it easy.
