That's not entirely true, I myself am Canadian and play Mu whenever I can put aside some time from my studies. And there are a few American guilds that I am aware of. Recruiting for guilds on the other hand is rare since the max number of guild members is equal to 1/10 of the Leader's level. If your level 150 and can only have 15 members, would you really want a level 50 in your guild ? Think about it.

Obviously I was making an exaggeration, however the point is still quite clear: not all that many North Americans play this game, at least in contrast with other online games in the market today.
I was just in China this summer, and EVERY internet cafe is logged into Mu Online Asia. It is one of the biggest games in Asia. When I log into Mu Online, 1 out of every 2 people I meet refuses to speak in English, and usually they would speak a spanish language. Finally...if I toured American homes and checked what their computers have downloaded, chances are I won't see the Mu program.

like most it gets spoilled by hackers which needs fixing.
unluckily i've not yet come accross an ommrpg that can be "HACK-PROOF"
stopped playing 2 moths ago cos of this. servers were going down almost every week
YES I'M REALLY P***** OFF WITH HACKERS SPOILING MY FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
MU LIVES BETWEEN HACKS AND FIXES...........BUT IT LIVES
I think you just have to find PRIVATE SERVER with good GameGuard.
