If Second Life was not a cash-crop MMO and had a flat monthly fee, would you play?

    Would you? Discuss.
Edit: Can someone edit my poll to have a third option, "No (Because I don't like Second Life)"

Not on your life ! i do not want to play house online or use pre fab names, like Hoolio Iglacious, nor do i want to dress like i am some office exec meeting up at the one their night clubs later for a cocktail ..RFLMAO i am laughing right now just thinking of playing such a lame ass game.Maybe i can go play SIMS while i am at it,i hear you get to shop at IKEA in SIMS ..YAY  can't wait !

If that was not to the point ,how about you could not pay me 500 bucks a month to play it and waste my life away...time that i could never get back.Well maybe if i could just login and logout,i would take the 500

Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.

Waste your life... So for instance... playing a normal MMO killing mobs thousands of times, and clicking icons for hours crafting some useles thing is ok. But, having a social network of friends and learning how to use Photshop, Blender, Wings3d, Texturing, Animation, Particles and Scripting, and how to create anything you want, from artistic works to practical things, to clothes... whatever, and how to sell them to real people really interested in it, or also how to buy and sell land, or rent it, how to advertise, is a waste of time. It's sad how many people's minds work.

if that is the way you see the MMO you are playing then yes.Even if a game involves that aspect of boredom i try to find things beyond that and take out of it the fun and challenging aspects.

BTW i already know how to use all those things you mentioned, like i said i take more out of gaming than just grinding mobs lmao.

I self taught the whole unreal game engine to myself and many programs that went with or used alongside it.I learned the quake engine doom engine ,i even learned to use the Croteau teams SERIOUS engine.

You apparently don't know me, i have walked away from people that just worry about xp grinding or try to take the fun out of it.Gaming is suppose to be relaxing and fun and in many cases people want to challenge themselves,we do NOT want to try and re create real life scenarios in a game,a cheap one at that.People come home they like to unwind goof off a bit, they don't want to try and replay there days events or how they wish there  day went in a game .

If what you say was true, you woudln't have talked about Second Life the way you did, sorry. You would appreciate the open platform it is, a place to learn much more easily all you pretend to have learned somewhere else.
