PvE classes for Solo player

Ok, after trying WAR  (for a couple of month actually) I thought I'd pick up AOC since it was quite cheap at the local games store. Currenlty installing it, and I was wondering what class you guys would recommend for someone who is looking for a viable solo class on a PvE server. I don't get to play *that* much these days (gf, job, the usual ), so I think I need a class that allows me to level at a reasonable pace even without groups - but it should also be something that can group if the occasion arises.

Was thinking Tempest of Set - but most of the balancing discussions etc that come up on google seem to be quite old. I believe there have been quite a few changes over the past months, so what I am looking for is basically an updated view on the classes and their "solo" potential.

/edit: Hearing that PvE servers in AOC are pretty empty, so I guess my question also applyies to PvP servers then..

 At lower levels, yes the PvE servers are empty, but once you get 60+ it really ramps up. Right now im on Set and it seems to be pretty healthly (Im playing on one of my friends 69s)

Well, just pick the PVE server that has the higest pop and you will be ok.

Anyway i think you should pick a healer, either Bear shaman / Tempest of set or Priest of mitra. All three classes are very good, but i think PoM and BS are more fun then TOS.

BS use melee you do good damage and have buffs / heals/ charge etc, but they are pretty bad at low lvl they get much better after like lvl 15.

POM use nukes/ AoEs/ knockbacks and ofc buffs and heals.

Edit: but i think that PVP servers are much more fun then pve servers, so i would recommend you to roll on a pvp server, but ofc if you dont like pvp, you should roll on a pve server.

Tempest of Set is a pve god lol. Seriously you wont find a better class for pve solo play. Theyre pretty wicked in pvp as well if you know how to use them, and groups love them.

POM is fun. if you are going to play it wouldnt be bad choice. Good solo class.
