Just downloaded a movie for D&D Online and checked out a first impression on GameSpot.com. I am really surprised that there is no info on MMORPG.Com about this. Any plans on getting more info on this?? Are they running a current Beta??
We will add it to our website as soon as Turbine releases an official website and logo. These are some of the requirements that need to be met before we add any game to list. I am sure it will come in due time, just hang in there.

Hard to follow this game over the past year because there has been confusing changes in rights and ownership. They first joined with WOTC who is owned by hasbro ,who i assume own the rights to the name D&D.Then they recieved 18 million from some backers ,so they can totally run the game as they see fit with no outside interference.
Now upon reading there site ,i hear they have joined with WOTC in a joint venture, with ATARI handling the marketing. Will WOTC not release the rights outright? Is turbine afraid to handle it on there own?I mean even asherons call is funded by giant microsoft as they forked the game over to turbine.
I sure hope WOTC has very little say in the game, because i have no respect for them what so ever. They will have one goal on there mind >>>how much money can we soak outa this game.I guess the epic scale this game will forego, has turbine worried and need the backing of WOTC/hasbro.I wonder what the state of Asheron's call would be if microsoft totally left turbine on its own.
D&D has a great game history, and i would love to see this game turnout bigtime, but i'm not sold on turbine and deffinately no respect for WOTC.

MMORPG.com already has info about Dungeons and Dragons Online. It has been out for 5+ years in the form of a little unknown game called EverQuest.
I have just recently heard of Dungeons & Dragons mmorpg and so far from what i've seen it looks like it will be an interesting game. The graphics like many of the upcomming games look exceptional and with the way they are building it up it may end up being one of the better mmoropg's to be into. But only time will tell.

"Character feats and weapons will be selectable via hotkeys, while the actual combat attacks will be controlled with your mouse, allowing you to switch between a sword and a bow in an instant, and without bringing up the inventory screen. Part of gameplay will be figuring outwhich weapons work best againnst certain creatures. But because experience will be gained from completing missions, not necessarily from killing monsters, its possible to avoid combat- or at least direct confrontation" PC Gamer (damn, they tested the game)
So, D&D might be the first True Action MMORPG, and say hasta la vista to the horrendous camping.

As far as I know Turbien is running AC. I believe the only thing MS has to do with AC anymore is the billing. And the billing system will be run by Turbine "soon." So to my knowledge that will be the end of MS's involvement.
And DnD Online I thought was and is still being developed by Turbine and Atari.
I find it rather interesting that the original creator and brainchild of D&D and AD&D, Gary Gygax, is partnering up with Alchemic Dream and will be creating/writing material for the upcoming game Dark and Light. I wonder if anyone realizes the significance of this.
i see where you are getting at with this, but maybe he just carries a huge pricetag with him.Since turbine got 18 mill to try an run the game themselves,i guess they want very little outside interference. And since WOTC still runs D&D ,they prolly figured that was there best bet from any outside game ideas.Sure gygax created it ,but it would have taken on tons of new ideas ,and is prolly very little the same as when it was first started,so they most likely wanted the newer input, especially since the game has endured over several years.
For sure ,i will give it a try when it comes out,EQ2/DnL are first on my list to do's.EQ's battle system sounds bad and DnL's one server is a bad idea also IMO,but we'll see how it goes.

I hate EverQuest, and it seems D&D Online will be pretty different from it. Buy the 30 Anniversary D&D PC Gamer Issue and see yourself.

Check out the gameplay footage... its nothing at all like Everquest. It doesn't even look like a mmorpg.
